So my mom forced (that's right, forced) me to buy this dress from NY&Co on Thursday. It's a black, brown & white floral pattern (I know, sounds blech, but it's not.) Spagetti straps, fitted to the lower part of the waist, then flares out into an A-Line. Falls just below the knee. Very retro 50's - I love it! It really flatters my hourglass (OK, pear-shaped ) body.

Only issue is shoes. The little Stacy & Clinton in my head are screaming at me to get a cute pair of black or brown heels with a pointed toe. So I tried a few pairs on at DSW & nearly broke my ankle . Several times. I took that as a sign & did not make a purchase.

Oh, will I ever learn to walk in heels?

I've finally been able to convince myself to not buy shoes that hurt my feet/don't fit right/I can't walk in/match nothing I own, etc.

"I don't care if they're only $15 at DSW, they're fluorescent green & have a 5 inch heel, dummy!"

On the hunt for flat, yet cute & sexy, sandals for Vegas.

Speaking of green shoes, i'm currently obsessing over a pair I saw in Aldo (that's the shoe in natural). They're $69 though BUT, they'll be really adorable with jeans. After buying tickets for the show, I really need to stop purchasing things. But I want (I don't necessarily need) a new pair

Hello, my name is Marissa...and i'm a shopaholic.

I love Stacy and Clinton! Even though I would be completely insulted, I'd love to be on What Not To Wear so I could hang out with them and get a new wardrobe!

I? Would have a broken foot before I even made it out of the house in those. But that is a hot shoe.

No doubt! Being embarrassed on TV in exchange for a new look/haircut/wardrobe? Bring it on!

i have that shoe with a closed toe in pink, i looove aldo. was in boston last year and bought three pairs, i have no financial conscience. and now that i have $0 after deciding to go to vegas, i look at those shoes (one pair i've never worn out of the house, another i've worn twice) and i think... ya know, i could eat for a week in vegas if i didn't buy those shoes.

I absolutely LOVE them. However, I am also quite partial to the British version we ripped from (because apparently, we've run out of original ideas). Trinny and Susannah <3 Merf bought me their What Not To Wear book for Christmas and it's a riot. They'll show a picture of a good outfit for a certain body type and then one that doesn't look as nice. In the pictures with the bad outfits, they make sad and depressed faces

I guess I'm used to higher shoes since I seem to gravitate towards them. However, when I don't wear them for a while (which is rare but on occassion, I will) and go to put them on, it feels odd. I have to use my better judgement and not purchase these...but it is tempting
