Just a little note, flat tax is regressive, it does favor the rich. 15% of yours and my income is a far larger chunk than it is of a rich person's income. It does not help the poor.

But besides that, this book is going to be insane. I'm with Suze, I'm not sure I can read it for fear of ranting around like a crazy person afterwards!

I know we middle Americans would feel the pinch a lot sooner than the wealthy because they have more cushion. but what would you suggest?

I'm not sure what about taxes, but closing corporate and wealthy people loopholes would be a great start. That would raise tons of money, you wouldn't believe the loopholes corps. have. Well, you probably would, but...

Yes, forget the private, wealthy citizen for now and go after these corps for their fair share of tax dollars! That would only make sense.

Not gonna happen under shrub for sure.

Actually, if we made a flat tax of 20% for all corps. we would be the richest nation in the world and many many corps. would flock here because 20% is much cheaper than their own country.

Well, I think it would be great, however, I am unsure how the rest of the country would take it

Years ago, I was up for a management position and declined to apply. They were like "Why" you would ber so good. I candidly replied, well the first day would consist of me telling someone to get off of their lazy ass and pull their own weight or they were fired, which would cost a fortune in lawsuits

Thus, I shudder to think what the special interest groups would do to me
