Question "I Miss You", A different mix not used???

I just received a disc from a trade called the "Trouble In Shangri-La Final Mixes" and I just assumed this was the same disc as the "TISL Acetate" so i decided to play it mainly cause I havent listened to TISL in awhile, It sounded very similar to the studio released album (I swear to God I heard some differences in the song "Everyday" but thought "Nah, Maybe my ears are f**king with me") UNTIL "I Miss You" came on, This version of "I Miss You" has a short musical interlude starting at 2:39 into the song and at the 2:57 into the song Lindsey's guitar is very present in the mix (The musical interlude lasts from 2:39 to 3:02), I nearly fell off of my waterbed when I heard that musical part

I just checked my copy of the TISL Acetate disc and the short musical interlude was NOT on that version...Does anyone else have the version of "I Miss You" with the musical interlude? Maybe this disc truly is the final mixes of TISL

I have never heard that one. The only alt. mix I have is a dance remix labeled I Miss You (Europe Radio Remix)

Exclamation Well...

"Everyday" is missing some of the vocal overdubs that are present on the studio released version, So I am intently listening to this disc to see what else is missing from the officially released version

That's my favorite version of the song, and I cannot listen to the original TISL version anymore...too slow. LOL I would love to hear the version that Brian is talking about!

Wow, I always thought that song was missing an inturlude or missing something esp between the 3rd stanza (Paris to Rome, London to Paris)and the final chorus, which sounded to my ears like an edit to shorten the song.....but its effect always felt rushed without any breathing room between vocals.

I wonder why they shortened it? ..It would be cool if someone could post these different mixes of I Miss You & Everyday.

Yes, this is on my copy of the final mixes too. I meant to rip it along with My Heart and Bombay Sapphires ages ago but forgot. Too bad there are no cool extra lyrical differences or something.

Is there a different version of Bombay Sapphires out there too?

My Heart is a super good song! I remember when the song first started... the first few words... I thought it sounded like it was going to be pretty bad but as it get's going, it is such a good song! I listen to it pretty every day! And I just bought an iPod Shuffle today. So, it's going on it!

I thought the same thing, but I cringe at the beginning when her voice is straining. I think the chorus is pretty.
I love my shuffle more than life itself. I've had it for about a month now.

You must really love your life I'm starting to rethink the purchase. I'm thinking I should just buy one of the iPod Photo (i think that's what they're called). It has 60 gigs on it and it would be great for me to put projects on when I need to take them to printers for quick jobs. But I've heard they are kinda big and heavy. My friend went with the shuffle after having three iPods (all of which were stolen) and he complained that they are too big. So, I don't know. Anyone have any feedback on either the iPod Shuffle or regular iPod?

I know about the straining vocal. Also that she opened with the line "Shadow" nearly made me piss myself!!!

I bought the smaller of the two larger iPods - the 20 one I think. I LOVE it. What did I ever do with just 20 or so songs on my old mp3 player I also chose it because it had a screen and was only like $50 more than the mini.

Yes, there's an alternate mix with a less "produced" sound and a line or two of extra lyrics. I don't have it on my computer anymore, but maybe someone has it handy to forward?

Well, there are two I have heard. The first is the demo. The second is an alt. produced version. I have them, but not on this comp. If you want them, send an email to [email protected]

I just bought the iPod+hp 20gb and I like it very much. It's easy to use and can hold up to 5000 songs.
