Default My Car Was Stolen!!

I had a 1993 Saturn. It was ok. It has it's problems but it was still going on the same engine and it had 183,000 miles on it.

It was in accidents, one before I got it, one after last year when someone hit me from behind.

In 2001, I had 3 people bump into me. Weird year.

It's missing a hubcap.

My ceiling was falling down. The driver door interior was falling off. My seats were ripping.

I got the car in 1997 and it's the only car I have had since I was 19.

And SOMEONE STOLE IT! It was at the mall, around alot of other cars, outside a resturant. At 12 midnight, while people are still out there, my car is gone.

Oh my, what a crazy world. Cherry Hill NJ is not safe I guess?!

I am feeling quite sorry for myself because that car was so ugly and someone took it

Oh - Janet I'm really sorry to hear that I can't even imagine ...I mean something that big being stolen...that's one of my fears....

Did you have insurance coverage for theft?

Gosh, I'm so ! I had the same thing happen to me several years ago. My husband and I had just bought a new, VW Beetle. We hadn't had it two weeks when someone stole it out of our DRIVEWAY in the middle of the night. I went out the next morning with keys in hand; stepped out the door, and I was like where in the H@LL is my car?! Of course, I didn't believe it at first. I actually walked around the yard and looked in the street. Anyway, it had to be a professional, because the car alarm was on, doors locked, and everything. We never got it back, and we never found out who did it. Finally, we decided we didn't want it back anyway, because the car wouldn't seem like our anymore.

After that happened, I was scared to be at home. I felt so violated! I still pray everyday when I get up that the car is still out there. It is so sad.

The good news is we got a new car, and our insurance was pretty fair with us. Hopefully, the same will be true for you.

Exclamation Man...

I hate thieves!!! I may never be the richest/smartest person in the world but everything I own was bought with my own money and not stolen

If anyone was dumb enuff to try to steal my 96 Nissan (Which has nearly 300,000 miles on it) They are definitely in need of a brain transplant, or just a plain assbeating, Whichever is easiest!!!

I'm sorry, Janet. As Brian said, thieves are the worst. One of my friends had his house broken into for a second time in six months.

Oh thanks guys.

I feel much better now thats been 24 hours.

Turns out in Cherry Hill NJ there is a big demand for Saturns. 7-9 ( depends who I speak to) have been taken in the last 2 weeks in Cherry Hill! They should release something because if I had known I would have watched myself.

I got some money towards a newer car. My car was totally done and didn't even have AC, and I was totally dreading the summer. Now maybe I can get a car with AC LOL.

Gypsywoman77 -that's terrible! A NEW CAR?!

That is awful that someone would steal your car. I would have never thought that there would be such a big demand for Saturns. either.

At least whoever stole your car was not still there when you came out of the mall. Who knows if they would have hurt you or something. I guess that is a bright side but no matter what having something stolen that belongs to you stinks!

I hope that you get a nice car that you enjoy.

oh my gosh that sucks!!!!!

My jeep was stolen last year so i understand how violated you feel! It was parked at an art museum at my university (i parked there for free parking- i hate paying for decals) when i came out of class there was a pile of glass and nooooo jeep. i found a cop directing traffic for an event and he called another cop to come help me. they seemed to think i was a head case and i forgot where i parked my car... but there was a pile of broken glass in the spot i parked in! he decided he'd make rounds of other nearby parking lots just to make sure while i'm standing in the art museum parking lot at 10 pm. they didn't find it so they did their paperwork and my roommate came to get me. my registration with my address on it was in there- along with my garage door opener. i did not get ANY sleep that night even though i disconnected the garage door. i was so scared some murderer was coming to get me.

i have complete head to toe insurance so i was doing a happy dance and crossing my fingers that they wouldn't find it so my insurance would take care of it so i could get a new one! my a/c was running poorly at the time and i was NOT looking forward to another summer in the desert with pitiful a/c.... but alas....

they found it! two weeks later they called me to come pick it up from a tow yard. seems that i left it with only fumes in the gas tank so they only got to the next city over and then abandoned it.... it was sooo jacked up- broken windows, **** torn out on the interior, the exterior looked like they were playing bumper cars with it... thankfully i had a rental that my insurance was paying for so i just told them to tow it to whatever body shop they wanted. the body shop had it for 3 weeks and let me tell you, they fixed everything, head to toe- even things that were already broken even though i was 100% honest with the ins. adjuster about the damage. then they detailed it. i swear to god when i went to pick it up i didn't recognize it. but now, a year later... the a/c still isn't running well... and we're going into another 120 degree summer

sorry for rambling Janet... but i hope you either find your car or your insurance takes care of you so you can buy a new one.
