I picked up the movie today and I'm a little hesitant to watch it because the book is so good. But it has a super cast. I've always wondered what happened to Victoria Tennant.

I was always too scared to watch it. I'm curious to know how you like it.

I'm going to watch it tonight, along with The Minus Man with Owen Wilson (<333333333), so I'll let you know if it's any good tomorrow.

Hi guys, this is my first post here on The Ledge! I just finished reading A Cold Heart by Jonathan Kellerman, which I thought was good, and i'm usually not that big of a fan of his.

I just finished A Home At The End of The World by Michael Cunningham. Having mixed feelings about it. I'll have to reread, I guess.

Starting on Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides now. It seems promising

I really liked A Home At The End Of The World, although it kind of fell apart for me towards the end. Middlesex is on my list of books to read.

I'm currently reading Choke by Chuck Palahniuk.

Right now I'm trying to get through Bill Clinton's autobiography. His childhood was very interesting. I am halfway through it and have stalled with my reading. Anyone get through this one?
I too found his growing up years (including post college) interesting (I am at the part where he and Hillary moved in together) and for some reason I am not moving forward (tho my life is kinda chaotic right now)

Authors I read over and over: Marion Zimmer Bradley, the Avalon series.
Roger Zelazny, the Chronicles of Amber, Diana Gabaldon, Butterfly in Amber/Outlander/Voyager/Drums of Autumn (I want a Jamie Frasier of my OWN! HUBBA HUBBA)

I just finished Da Vinci Code, the Red Tent, and Digital Fortress. I think Dan Brown is AWESOME. Truly.

Welcome to The Ledge, Marissa!

Right now, I'm finishing up Solomon Northup's Twelve Years a Slave, which is pretty depressing, and Bev Marshall's Right as Rain (again). After that, it's on to Ellen Gilchrist's I, Rhoda Manning, Go Hunting with my Daddy. (For class).

Choke is a good read. Twisted, weird, but good.

That was kind of my problem with Home as well. I just didn't like how it turned out. And I still hate Clare.

You are officially stripped of all your Princess Points!

I <3 the movie (like the book better, tho). Janeane Garofalo and Owen Wilson rocked. And so did Brian Cox and Mercedes Ruehl. Hell, even Sheryl Crow rocked. Such a good flick.

Everyone is boring to the rest of the world, dear. Fact of life, I suppose.

Isn't Wesley Snipes in that one as well? Sounds scary, not hysterical

Well, I do love my queens, after all.

Yeah, Snipes is in it, as is Stockard Channing, Robin Williams, and John Leguizamo. It's a total rip-off of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, but it's still hilarious.
