I HAVE NEVER ONCE SAID NOR INSINUATED THAT CHRISTINE IS MY LEAST FAVORITE. And while it's no secret that Lindsey Buckingham is my favorite member of the band, it's also no secret that Stevie Nicks is decidedly not.

Do not assume that you know which of the two women is my least favorite.

And for the record, it also wouldn't break my heart if the band broke up all together. Then maybe I'd finally get the Buckingham solo album I've been waiting for.
I don't even remember you making that remark on the Chris forum!?! Gee...guess it didn't have a profound effect on me

I didn't direct it at you!!! You are assuming that, and getting angry for no reason!

Well, LB tried that - but came back to FM because his solo stuff (Out of the Cradle and GOS) was not warmly received from a financial perspective, which he obviously and rightly cares about. Interestingly and sadly, his solo effort GOS as translated to SYW was also not warmly received from a financial perspective. Plus, he said he likes working with FM, esp. Stevie, as evidenced by his emotional scene in the Destiny Rules doc. But, who knows, maybe he will release a solo record soon as he has alleged, though we do not reckon "soon" the same I suspect I, for one, hope he does release a solo record in the next year because I like his solo stuff.

I have no clue what that is about as I rarely visit the Chris boards....saying she's my least favorite doesn't mean I dislike her or anything - but whatevah - that's just my taste

Ah - but them's fighting words around here

People just love to use outrageous words like "croak" "Elmer Fudd" "fat" etc. when describing Stevie. I guess it is their right to say such if they really feel it (which I question as well - but that is just my own suspicion) - but it also is simultaneously rude and intentional to other Ledgies who have expressed that they find it offensive I mean that is the harm ion just saying they do not care for her voice or, it is lower than it used to be, her range has lessened, etc. It conveys the same message. But, that type of respect for people who like her is rarely shown

The other is a beautiful songbird who wrote most of the hits for the band in whose dedicated forum we do love to chat at.

The post you replied to was a response to my post. If you don't want such misunderstandings then be careful what you're replying to when you target a particular individual.

Ah - wow - have these words been uttered...perhaps I should jaunt on over the Chris board sometime.

I don't care if people say crap like that about Stevie- I mean if they don't "get it" then fine - don't listen - I find it sad because really there is so much beauty in Stevie's words and such.....it's just what I love....

If them's fightin' words so be it It's Stevie all the way for me (though I also love Linds - not as rabidly as some - but I enjoy his solo endeavors)

AND - when I first got into Fleetwood Mac I SWORE I wouldn't become one of the "Stevie obsessives" - I got all into Chris - and got one of her solo albums and everything - then I honestly don't know what happened - but I became a Stevie obsessive

Actually with an irrational Stevie presence you do need a bit of Lindsey so as to not be isolated in your recognition of this irrationality. Whatever, Christine seems like a hoot.
No - no violent rages....none of them do - and I agree personality wise Chris kicks some ass for sure - I think personality wise though John wins for my favorite

That, Strawberry Fields, Nowhere Man, She Said She Said etc. use brilliant subtlety to give glimpse of a state where the author is actually screaming. On the other hand he has songs such as Mother, God and even Help which are what I'd consider those songs that talk about feeling by the use of shouting them. As for Christine's subtlety, well if you can see what it is that I like about those earlier mentioned Lennon songs then I don't need to explain to you why her lyrics often cause more pain than pleasure.

Did that prove anything? Probably not.
Infinity can be in a cup of coffee. Originality for me is only an instrument, some use it in the most poetic way (see Lennon), some others bore you to tears. I think Christine McVie speaks of every day situations with every day words, but has the talent to bring a surprising and sometimes fulfilling light to both of them.

hhhmmm... the most emotional scene that stands out to me in Destiny Rules was the fight that got started when Karen (that's the name of Stevie's assistant, right?) mentioned Stevie's lawyers...

I also remember a comment Lindsey made of being willing to eat a "f*** of a lot of money" (or something to that effect) in order to get his creative vision realized.

Come to think of it, he had quite a few emotional scenes.

I'm just tired of FM projects getting in the way of his solo work. First it was Tango, then The Dance, and now Say You Will. It's been 13 years since the last solo album... I think it's long overdue and he needs to get the damned thing out. Besides that... there's nothing I wouldn't give to see him perform live, without Stevie's irritating hand gestures (see "Say You Will" from LIB- I can't decide if she's trying to rope someone in the audience or do the "I'm a Little Teapot" dance) and without Mick's ego-stroking drum and vest solo.

Also... not that thrilled with the song choices on SYW. I hadn't heard "Peacekeeper" or "What's the World Coming To" before and was thrilled to see "Come," "Murrow," and "Miranda" on the track list, but I'm not a big fan of "Red Rover" or "Say Goodbye" and we heard "Bleed to Love Her" already on The Dance. That slot could have been better filled with something like "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind" (my all-time favorite Buckingham song).

It bugs me to no end that she used the word "woo" in a song - I don't know why - but I have a real problem with this
