That's great - but that happened to a friend of mine and her grandma - a passerby called the cops and said people were stealing from the SA bin - so the cops came - and tried to arrest my friend and her grandma for taking their own stuff back to take it elsewhere

If you have an organ donor card, write it on the back and sign it.

on Feb.7,2003 when I fractured my tibia I had to wait in pain to be admitted into the ER (At the hospital were my Deb works no less )

Ah, Nuthin' like the extruciating pain of having to sit in a wheelchair and try not to black out from the shock of seeing your foot just danglin' like a kite in the wind (While turn 45 degrees to the extreme right) and then finding a new meaning of pain as your biting into a towel as the ER RN's somewhat pop my foot back into place as they put a splint on my foot/leg (And have the Dr. non-schalantly look at the X-Rays and say "Yep...It's broke"...Well "No **** Sherlock", The large SNAP of the bone sound made that somewhat obvious along with the fact my foot is dangling like a breast of some 90 yr old woman, And I didnt have to attend Med School for 8 years to tell ya that )

Just dont get me started on IHS (Indian Health Services, Or as I call 'em Incompetent Health Services) and their world reknown incorrect diagnosis' that they finally correct...A week later!!! How sad it is that I am STILL feelin' that pain in my right hand from their f**k up!!!!

i boycott Cat Stevens. i only buy his albums in second hand shops, where i know it doesn't generate any profits to the artist.

Is that part of a wider protest against the Catholic Church and its ideologies in general? Just curious, as I'd assume not every doctor in the place would be Catholic, and that at a time of life-saving need, a Catholic hospital might come in handy. But as one who also does not support many aspects of Catholicism (many many), I'm curious about this.

Yes, it is.

If they think they can issue such vitriolic statements about "my kind" as they have in the past and still get me to give them my money, then they really are as crazy as they seem.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that. If I was in an accident and about to die and the nearest hospital was Catholic...I'm not sure if that's the "hill" I want to die on (no pun intended). But, I certainly wouldn't go for everyday medical treatment, whether all the doctors there were Catholic or not.

Diss, somehow I imagined your list would be longer

I don't shop at WalMart, because of their censorship policies and deplorable business practices both here and abroad... but also because I just plain hate their stores. There was always broken merchandise on the shelves and stuff all over the floor. I don't eat at KFC (or any fast food place besides Subway) to begin with... it's a habit I formed in the three years I was a vegetarian & I've never had any desire to start going back. I've seen one too many burger cooks scratching his balls on the job, anyway. Crotch flavor? No thanks. Other than that I don't really "boycott" anything, but given two options, I'll always make an effort to support the more progressive, ethical one.

Okay - trying again.

I can understand this. I forgot you would actually be directly financially supporting a Catholic instituton. (I'm in Canada - socialized medicine). Your point is a good one.

There's a walk-in clinic at Mass General that is better for this type of thing, FYI.

There isn't really any place that I won't go to but I don't like the following places:

Wal-Mart, just as most of you have said earlier. Too crowded and I just hate going.

K-Mart, never had an item ring up at the correct sale price.

Circuit City and Best Buy because they never seem to have what I want lately and the help at both stores is just clueless.

Krispy Kreme- because I am sorry but their donuts taste like crap and their coffee is worse. Give me Dunkin Donuts anyday!

Any CD store at the mall. Overpriced and clueless help need I say more?

I boycotted Calvin Klein when they were using underage "heroin chic" models, it was so gross. And I really like their lingerie, on sale of course, so it was hard. I still don't buy anything from them just cuz I'm in that habit now.

I would never by anything from Abercrombie either.

KFC now.

Won't buy from Iams but never have, I get Wellness for Mufy.

Filene's because they scr*wed me with my credit card.

Well, my uncle works for Coke! It's funny to have 2 in the family working at competitors. We only drank Coke in my house until my Dad got his job at Pepsi. Can't bite the hand that feeds you. I just wonder why people are boycotting it? I hope they're not that bad. Ugh!
