If I wanted to be truly in YOUR face I'd tell you that Roe v. Wade is STILL the law of the land and DEAL WITH IT. That your Bible thumping turns AWAY more people than it converts because truly, you are an example of what is most egregious about fundamentalists: your narrow parameters EXCLUDE more people than they include, and that is CONTRARY to the example Jesus set.

Heterosexuals can find fulfillment through a spouse AND God, but a homosexual is only allowed to find it through self-sacrifice and God.

Well when scripture repeatedly condems same-sex relationships...and then states that not everyone is made for marriage...I guess some folks are called by God to make different sacrifices than others...Your place in Heaven shall be greater than others!

Well, all I was trying to do was defend some issues that I felt needed defended...and I DIDNT bring them up! The way I go about things sometimes, can come off as rude, and I have already apologized for that! I'm NOT a Bible thumper (please...Im Catholic!!). And Roe v. Wade is unconstitutional in every since of the word. All Americans have the right to what?

LIFE!

It's as simple as that. And every person should be free to decide those things for themselves. Just as you want to be free to decide them. it just makes sense to me. Christian people, and gay people, and every other person, should be free to decide about these issues, without the gov't telling them what they should do. How would you like it, if, someone told you you could not practice your religion? that the gov't could tell you what you could and could not do? don't you think you'd be pissed?

Yes, by all means, you have the right to vote to take away rights from other humans/creatures that god created.
P.S.? Our ancestors died for freedom from religious persecution. freedom of religion. get it?
What gets me is that most liberals want to get rid of the Christ in Christmas...like in the case (I forgot which state) where the school completely did away with any mention of Christmas in their play, but left in Kwanza and Hanukkah …what is that all about?

Where are our rights there?

LIFE!
as I recall it was LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS......
LIBERTY is FREEDOM.
Roe v. Wade is CONSTITUTIONAL, based on the right of a person to have autonomy over their own person, place and effects. btw: I should warn you that among other things I am a Paralegal, and have studied INTENSLY the subject of abortion and Roe v. Wade. I can hold my own against the Lawyers and I hold the trump card, I am a WOMAN and it is MY Body I am talking about. Neither YOU nor any of your Groups have the right to tell ANY woman what they may do with their OWN body. Because I tell you, I have felt the effects of pregnancy. I KNOW first hand just who makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to bring a baby into this world. You, in your male body have NO CLUE. So dont start that argument with ME because you WONT win.

NO you are contradicting yourself.

Do you have the CHOICE to murder me...Yes...but you are denying me my RIGHTS to LIFE LIBERTY AND MY PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS...

When you murder that baby...you are robbing him/her early own. Its no ones right to murder another innocent human being.

THAT...is the law of the land.

I don't know. If you bring up an actual article or facts, i might be able to answer. I have to say, for the most part, i hardly see Christian religions being stomped on. but again, I don't know until i see where that actually happened...
that doesn't really address my point, though. And most liberals don't want to get rid of anything like that. They usually just want an equal representation of other solstice holidays, practiced by non christians.
But, can you imagine, what if all throughout american history, you were Christian, but everyone only celebrated Kwaanza? Or Hanukkah? You might long for some representation, too. And, no, i'm not saying that getting rid of Christmas mention is right (if that's true)

Now, see, that last sentence proves what many of my friends already believe... that gay people ARE better than others.

But, again... and seriously... the words in the bible "condemning" homosexuality, were NOT God's words, but the words of human males.
As I've tried to explain over and over again, it was the words of these very same human males, which also promoted slavery, human sacrifices, female subjugation, and countless other things that we no longer in good conscience follow.

Why people feel the need, after all of that, to STILL hold fast and true to the equally archaic and ignorant comments made about homosexuality, is beyond me.

And, again... homosexuality does NOT go against the Ten Commandments.

And so the way to settle this is to get rid of any mention of the most common religion but allow it to continue for the other religious holidays. Where is the justice in that?
