How they went so wrong after having Kim Basinger, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman in the other ones is beyond me.

I thought Uma Thurman was the best thing about B&R! She was hot! And Alicia might not be much to look at, but I'd take her any day over Nicole Kidman in Batman Forever. Nicole had about as much sex appeal and acting ability as a plank of wood in it.

Omg, I love that movie too! Goldie Hawn is priceless in it.

Has anyone seen Ruben and Ed with Crispin Glover and Howard Hessman? That movie is one of the funniest B movies EVAH and I've never met a soul who's seen it.

A ton of people think it's funny - it's only one of the greatest movies ever!!!

Seriously though - back home there a lot of Weird Al fans - UHF is a must.

Before it came out on DVD I had a bad copy of it - and my ex had an ex-rental of it - great stuff - we watched that on the night of our first kiss SO romantic eh?

I'm big into Weird Al so do love that movie - and I love the Al - I've see him a couple of times in concert...

The scene towards the end with the sword decapitation is priceless. I almost choked when I first saw it. The first hour is unbelievably bad, even for a Russ Meyer flick, but the last hour more than makes up for it!

I didn't know they aired it on IFC, I actually bought it years ago. Some of the picks for "cult classics" on IFC are dubious at best. They had Bad Lietenant with Harvey Keitel a few months back and that film has no cult following that I'm aware of. Sometimes they pick some good ones, though, like They Shoot Horses Don't They?, Big Bad Mama, and Polyester.

I have. And it's hilarious.

Crispin Glover certainly is an acquired taste, though. That man is ten pounds of weird in a five pound bucket. He blows even Vincent Gallo out of the water. You should rent the Willard DVD just so you can see his music video for "Ben."

I thought of one I totally left off my list. "The Thing Called Love" with Samantha Mathis & River Phoenix. I have watched it about a gazillion and a half times. Seriously.

I love Ruben and Ed!!! My friend Miles has a severe addiction to all things Crispin Glover, so I've seen it alllllll.

Omg!! I've seen it!! And you're right, he's about the weirdest person ever to have walked this earth. His character in the Charlies Angels movies always freaks me out too. Yikes!

I just remembered something really hilarious about him...a couple of friends of my sister's had a hand in one of the Austin film festivals a couple of years back. Well, Crispin was supposed to present some of his movies or something one night and my sister's friends said that when he finally showed up (very late of course) he stank to high heaven as if he hadn't showered in weeks!! It doesn't surprise me given his weirdness factor but still, that story always comes to mind when I think about him... blech!

Then you should be well acquainted with the "king of the echo people" and "the power of positive thinking" seminar!

I can quote just about every line from that movie. I suppose we can add that little factoid to the old "lesser known facts about Ledgies" thread from days past

Cool! I didn't think anyone was going to know what I was talking about!

"Does this look like a No. 2 pencil?!?"

"SUPPLIES!"

And I LOVE Weird Al's Road Runner rant on his show when he's down about Teri breaking up with him and the station losing money. And I think Fran Drescher was great in it, too.
