aaack! you can take flaxseed oil capsules and get the same thing...Omega 3s are soooo important...

Kind of a banal question about Stevie, but I was at some website and saw a mention that she was or had been vegetarian, which I had never heard mentioned before. Any truth to that?

I was vegetarian for eight years and just went back to it, so I guess that's why I'm interested

I would be very surprised to hear that Stevie is a vegetarian because of the whole Atkins thing.

But this topic is very interesting (and timely) seeing as how I was at Alice Cooper's restaurant in Phoenix last week and on the menu there is an item called, "the Stevie Nicks Gardenburger." I just about wet my pants, I mean, gardenburger?!!? She would love that.

Seeing as how I'm a meat eater, I had the Megadeth meatloaf instead.

Was never much of a meat eater. Although I loved cheeseburgers. But then about 15 years ago this girl gave me a book called Diet For A New America which shed some light on the meat industry and the deplorable conditions in America's slaughterhouses and I was like I cant be part of this. So I purchased some videos that were shot undercover in slaughterhouses. The employees that work in these places are complete morons, they treat the animals like **** and laugh about it. The animals were screaming, there was blood all over the place. It's all very sad. I don't eat meat because I think it is going to make me any healthier. I just do not want to support such a ****ed up industry.

I read that book, too, and was mainly appalled at the detriment eating cattle especially takes on the environment...I was Vegan for a few years...backslid, now...

I have stopped eating red meat and chicken/turkey/whatever because of the way they are killed, and the whole industry behind it, too.
