Default Thanks for stepping up

Thanks for stepping up McFan 57 to take care of this guy. Much smoother than if I had tried. Thanks.

Default Exact Date?

Macfan 57 - Do you have an exact date for the Seattle Paramount Radio Broadcast (March 1972)? Shouldn't a site like this compile known concert/appearances? Not a complaint, just seems like a good forum to qualify a really good appearance log with.

You realize, I hope, that many of us were still filling our diapers when this show took place.

I have 3/10/72. That's the date I got from the person I traded with. I don't know if this is the date it was recorded or if it's the broadcast date. Christine mentions during the show that Bare Trees is going to be released in 3 weeks. So they must have recorded this about 3 weeks before the Bare Trees release date.

Unfortunately such a list seems to be much harder to compile than you might think. Information on appearances, particularly from the earlier years, is very spotty, and different lists I've seen around the web and in other publications are full of conflicting dates and other inaccuracies. Hopefully one of these days we'll see a good list, but I'm not holding my breath...

Default Seatle dates

My tape of the Seattle 1972 show is recorded live, as broadcast, at the moment. At the end of the broadcast, the radio announcer promotes upcomming shows:

March 17 ("next weekend" the host says) = Don Mclean
March 25 Guess Who (their live album date)
Aplil 8 Marc Almond

I have to go with the March 10 date. "Bare Trees" probably was released earlier in England (common practice) , and that's what is seen on the other websites, and via this forum.

March 10 sounds right to me. By the way, I was there.

Thanks for the info. My bootleg doesn't have the announcer at the end. I wish I'd been there. Homer is right. You are very, very lucky, even if you don't remember all of the show.
