Default Holiday Road!

ALRIGHTY - I was driving the two sheeps (my Scotties for the unlearned ) home from the beauty parlor today when, of all things, Holiday Road comes on the radio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL - Laine and Wynn (ee the pooh) barked along with the Arf Arf Arf - Arf Arf Arf part!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, Wynn (ee the pooh) actually howled to the latter part!!!!!

Oh Well, I guess even Scotties know good music when they hear it

I tend to wonder, if that is an american thing. These two songs (Holiday Road and Dancing across T USA) do absolutely nothing to me. Which is quite an exception when it comes to Mr. B.
I remember a while ago as we discussed them over here some non US ledgies said they didn`t like them too much whereas a lot of US ledgies always have at least HR on their highlight list.
Even the US dogs get crazy about it- what`s up with it- is there a hidden message on the US copies only, if you play it backwards?

LOL -Its backmasking (sp.?) remember that religious right movement in the late 70's early 80's. I remember by religion teacher playing "Tom Sawyer" by Rush backward by hand on the TURNTABLE ( my age ) the part that goes "catch the myth . . . " very loosely sounded like "Satan will strike Satan will strike Satan will strike" I mean even he (and he was a nut) did not believe it

As for Holiday Road - it is a silly song - but I love it for that - it just makes me happy happy happy to here it!!!!!

Well I think I can speak for many when I say I didn't know HR was by Lindsey for the longest time. I just thought it was so cool that Lindsey sang that song from the Vacation movies that as you say all us americans love It takes years of fandom for most of us to realize that's Lindsey

Exclamation Lol

How cute about the pups barking along!

"Holiday Roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad....holiday roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad."

It's a fun sing-a-long song, a great driving song. Also, it's the song that brought me to Lindsey, so it has sentimental value.

Yes! I love Holiday Road too. I have a cute story to go along with it too. I made a compilation CD of my favorite Lindsey songs and I put Holiday Road on there. One day I was taking my two nieces to the movie. They are 7 and 5. So I had my Lindsey CD in and Holiday Road came on. My neices loved it! They kept singing and everytime it ended they told me to play it again. I think we played it probably 20 times. My seven year old neice would say to me "I can't hear you singing, sing louder." So I had to keep singing. She also said, "You have to put this on CD for me! Please make me a CD with this song!" She is so funny.

And on a side note - her other favorite song is "My Little Demon." My brother made her a CD with that song on it, but according to her, "Her sister ruined the CD so I have to make sure to keep all CDs away from the little sister!" I also made her a CD and put "Cathouse Blues" on there which she absolutely loves and plays over and over again.

You can speak for me! I loved the movies growing up & always thought the song was cool, but never realized it was LB until after my Mac obsession started in the late 90's.

Same here. I'd always loved the song but had no idea it was by Lindsey. One day - I think it was 1998 or 1999 and I was becoming a huge fan - I saw his name on the credits when it was playing on TBS and about passed out. lol

I adore the song. So fun and catchy. One of my favorites.

Speaking of this song, how neat is the cover version on Nancys site, right now! I wonder if it's the sort of version, LB would like to have played had he been in a punk rock band
