Why I love Lindsey

[wondergirl9847]

I think I've figured something out. I already knew it, but today, it just really hit me, reading that Keith Urban article. See my other post for that!

I connect with Lindsey's music because he's all over the map. So am I, in regards to my music listening. Lindsey listens to all sorts of music (we know Eminem, Queens of the Stone Age, The Clash, classical music and Talking Heads for certain) and I do as well. That's why I love Keith too, he was influenced by so many different types of music and it shows up in his music.

I've been putting all my favorite songs on my iTunes playlist and I'm so all over the map, it's nuts! LOL I go from FM to Keith Urban to Amy Grant to George Michael to Christina Aguilera to Backstreet Boys to MxPx to 2Pac/Dr. Dre to No Doubt to Pat Benetar to Queen to Alison Krauss...I could keep on going. LOL I grew up on so many types of music, from various family members. I remember watching MTV and seeing Van Halen, Def Leppard and Twisted Sister videos because my cousins were into metal. My dad listened to country and oldies so I got a healthy does of Dolly Parton, Ronnie Milsap, George Strait as well as Elvis, Beach Boys and Bobby Darin. My mom loved oldies and pop. I went to a Christian school, so Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, DC Talk are among my faves too.

Lindsey's influences are noticable in his music and it's a great cycle (LB word!!! LOL) for those he influences.

"Thank you to God for music." - Keith Urban accepting the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year
