Cute pic!

Jessica is working on an album in the future?!?! Whoa. I hope it stays true to Stevie's style and not so Britney-like.

Yes! She told a group of us at the stage in Philadelphia.

You know that's not going to fly with her aunt (the Britney style, that is) and I hope the record label wouldn't put her in that position but maybe she'll sign with something small and independent where she can just be herself and do what she loves to do. Plus, she's punk rocked out right now so I can see her being a huge Britney hater. I do hope she waits until she gets a bit older before recording that album. I've never heard her sing other than SYW but if she was wise, she'd wait until her voice matures.

I agree with that. She should at least wait until Stevie is done with recording and touring so her sessions won't take time outta Stevie's schedule. Selfish, I know, but we all need Stevie to milk out another album/tour.....and maybe another FM project.

How old is Jessi? Isn't she 14 or so...? I agree waiting would be a good idea. After all, Stevie was mid-20s when she finally made it big. The teen-pop genre is on its way back out ( ), and even if she goes Avril instead of Britney/Jessica she'll still be lumped in with all of them because of her age.

And, honestly, I hope she is actually talented (odds are good given her musical genes), not just getting a deal because of who her aunt happens to be. High expectations! Let's hope she takes Stevie's advice to "write better songs and wear more clothes" than the rest of them.

She turned 13 the week of the last shows. I agree, if she really is incredibly talented (it's certainly in the genes so I think it's a very good possibility that she legitamately is) I hope people will see her for her and not because she's Stevie's neice. However, I think Stevie would be honest with her if she didn't have true talent to sing. I don't think she'd want her neice embarassing herself in a world full of critics and people that are very quick to judge. Jessi said she's also been taking guitar lessons and Lindsey has been helping her so I think there's talent to back up the venture she's about to take.

Meh...Avril annoys me...I wouldn't want her to be compared to Avril but as of now, unless this is a phase she's in, that's kind of how she was dressing so I think they would if that's how she chose to present herself. We shall see. No matter what, I think she'll be clothed...mom seems incredibly protective and Stevie would probably kill if they messed with her.

Remember, she's the spawn of Christopher Nicks, not Stevie. Talent in the genes? I guess... if you consider rolling a good joint to be talent. And don't get me started on the kind of talent it took to do the "Street Angel" cover.

I was thinking more in terms of Lori when I posted that because I think Lori does have a really beautiful voice. Plus, Stevie spent a lot of time around her grandfather and always says how much she was influenced by him. No doubt Jessi spends a lot of time around Stevie. You don't hear much about Jess and Barbara being musically inclined so even if Lori weren't talented, who's to say it has to come from your parents?

Jess turned 13 September 27th of this year and she does spend a lot of time w/ Stevie but not as much as it seems like she wants to. Stevie has rubbed off a little bit on Jess.

Well, hopefully now that the tour is over she'll get to spend a little more time with her aunt. Regardless of whether she puts out an album now or in a few years, hopefully she'll have a good time in doing so. Best of luck to her

If she has his business skills, she's already dead in the water.
