Thanks Tiff!

And Pip, right before I saw this thread, I was thinking about resurrecting the "My Heart" thread from a few months ago to let everyone know Tiff had posted it along with that awesome soundboard show. So, I guess I'm a big mouth at heart!

[DrummerDeanna]

Wow - SO great -thanks TIff and Thanks Pip (for posting link)...

[Serrart]

Thanks Pip for the heads up and thanks so much Tiffany for the tracks... they're awesome! I was dying to hear the whole My Heart. I love this song, it must be put on next Stevie album... Please!

I can't wait to get home this weekend to download these tracks!

Beautiful! (Although I can sort of see why it was left off TISL, but nevertheless, beautiful!).

[strandinthewind]

Windows like the eyes to the soul
From across the room
And the crowd fades away
You stand alone
Like nothing’s changed
Your face, your name
After all these years
It’s still the same
And you’re not to blame

Our love affair onstage - sighs!!!!

[gldstwmn]

RADIO HIT! Why oh why was this left off of TISL?

[dissention]

Not a fan of My Heart at all, but I LOVE the alt. version of Bombay Sapphires. That song has grown on me like a fungus in recent weeks and has become a big favorite.

[Johnny Stew]

Thanks a million, Tiff!
I've been anxiously waiting to hear the full length song ever since that minute-long snippet circulated a while back, and it more than lived up to my expectations.

I'm not sure if any of the Stevie sites have full lyrics posted yet, but I've been listening to it for the last 20 minutes and decided to type them out.
So here they are if anyone wants them....

My Heart

Shadows, and the first sign of light,
Lifted my heart
As if some kind of wings lifted me up
And so became... your face, your name
After all these years, it's still the same
And you're not to blame

Well, my heart still stops
When I stand before you
And my heart still breaks
When you take my hand
And my eyes still close
When someone speaks your name
You understand it's all the same

Windows, like the eyes to the soul
From across the room
And the crowd fades away
You stand alone
Like nothing's changed
Your face, your name
After all these years... it's still the same
You're not to blame

Well, my heart still stops
When I stand before you
And my heart still breaks
When you take my hand
And my eyes still close
When someone speaks your name
And you understand it's all the same

Ooh, my heart still stops
When I stand before you
And my heart still breaks
When you take my hand
And my eyes still close
When someone speaks your name
And you understand

Well, my heart still stops
When I stand before you
Ooh, and my heart still breaks
When you take my hand
My heart still cries
When someone speaks your name
And you understand it's all the same
It's all the same

I'd be willing to bet that, as she did with "Thrown Down," Stevie decided to leave it off 'Trouble In Shangri-La,' feeling it would be a more effective Mac track.

Too bad it didn't make the cut for either album though, it's a really strong track and worthy of a prime spot on an album, IMO.

I agree with Dissention on My Heart being over produced. I think the song's ok but could be better if it were just simpler. I do like Bombay Sapphires and I don't miss Macy Gray's vocals.
