I read a similar article awhile back where it stated that a record company would only pursue a lawsuit if the artist (Whose music was in question) were to request it...So who knows

I have an article on my trade page where the RIAA states it is more interested in seeking out file sharing of officially released material moreso than unauthorized live recordings.

This is ludicrous. The guy BOUGHT almost all of his music.

The recording industry has learned NOTHING from history, look at VCR's and movies guys.....The movie industry adapted and now they sell MORE than ever. Our courts are filled enough with stuiped court cases. * shakes head* The whole thing is beyond idiotic.

If the Record companies are going to go after anyone... it should be the companies that provide the software to file share... The rest of us, we are just taking advantage of a free offer... and who wouldn't?

If it's hurting them so bad... make it illegal to produce such file sharing software... simple!

I seem to recall you had a different stance on this sort of thing a few weeks ago. Perhaps i'm mistaken, but i don't think so.
