My brother decided he wanted to try the South Beach diet. I lost 20 lbs on it a couple months ago (which I've kept off on my own), and he said that if I could do it, he could do it.
Actually, what he said was, "you have all the will-power of Augustus Gloop in the chocolate factory... if you can do it, I can!"

Anyway, I told him I'd go back on Phase 1 with him, for moral support, and we started yesterday.
So... despite all my nervousness, I can't eat any comfort food!!!! ARRGH!!!

The bottle of champagne I've just plugged through in the last hour isn't helping my anxiety as much as I hoped it would.

As far as local races- I'm loving Keyes' 10% here in Illinois. Disappointed that Brownback's done it again in Kansas, my homestate, but at least Dennis Moore is pulling it out. I was disappointed to hear that apparently I'm still on the books in Kansas- my mom saw that I'm still registered, despite having not been registered there for three years. I could've voted twice! And at least thrown my measly vote against Brownback, that total ****.
