Well, I like Ashlee. But dear, if you don't have the guts to sing it live, then get off the stage. She's got the resources to have the best vocal coach, musicians, and sound people at her disposal. And she wrote some of her songs (with a lot of help from John Shanks).

If you're afraid you're gonna get some... apparently really disturbing image when you download the files, you could just watch Faux News. I know, I know. But they've apparently been playing the screw-up all day. CNN, too.

I watched it on CNN. What she should have done was just said "Stop and let's start this over." I remember Elvis Costello doing this on live tv, it may have been SNL. But then, he was actually playing the song. Watch the clip. No bass player in sight, yet there is a bass playing somewhere.

I think Madonna did that once on SNL, too.
Unfortunately, none of those links are working.

So I haven't gotten to see the Ashley incident yet....
