Default Best Songs Revised & Updated?

My reply to a previous thread got me thinking, ( Me THINKING, what a great thing. Thank you Ledgies!!!LOL... Anyway what are your favorite and least favorite updated & revised versions/recordings of same songs by the same artist and why?
Mine...
Least fav - Tie - "Say You Love Me" I CAN"T STAND The Dance version....Lindsey, what possessed you to play the banjo? We all know you love folk and the Kingston Trio and all that, but WTF?
Give me the single mix/edit on The Chain boxed set PLEASE!
"Rhiannon" Enchanted Works version. Stevie what were you thinking? Let Christine, Benmont or Roy play that piano!!! Tom might've told you "you can write your songs yourself" but PLAYING them is another question! (Please know I LOVE Stevie - this is NOT a bash!)
On the other side of the coin, The Dance's "Silver Springs" is SO definitive. I love it.

I loved the new version of Rebel Rebel from Bowie and One Way Or Another from Blondie. Both were fantastic.

Rhiannon from Enchanted blows. She simply cannot play the piano and it's torturous to hear her try to.

I loved the unplugged "Layla" from Eric Clapton.

The Enchanted Rhiannon is not so good. Or how about Vanilla Ice's hardcore, metal version of "Ice, Ice Baby"?

Actually I still tend to prefer the originals in pretty much all cases that I've witnessed. New Order tend to 'update' their recognized '80s-sounding material every now and then but I don't really care about those. I prefer the originals with all those cheesy keyboard sounds, dorky C64-reminiscent beats and the bleedin' sequencers that always messed things up live because of being too sensitive to humidity.

Vanilla Ice should just melt and leave us alone.

I thought he was obnoxious. But I loved Tammy Faye and that tramp Trishelle had me in stitches because she was soooooooooooo dumb. Have you watched the new season on VH1? Charo kills me.

I was rocking this song in the car this morning on my way to work. I love it, and I love how he's doing it similarly live. Kicks ass.

wow, i reallly like the banjo version on the dance, though, admittedly, at first i didn't. But I like the extra oh oh oh oh oh oh Chris does at the end. And the good thing about it also is that it is faster and more layered. (or the bad thing, depending on your POV)
showing my dorkiness, Bonnie Tyler's revis of Have you ever seen the rain, and, uh...garsh, that's all i can think of.

Two of my favourite updates are Cher's "Bang Bang" and "We All Sleep Alone". The originals are both great but the updated Bang Bang blows the old one out of the water. And the updated WASA is pretty good too.
