The Sisters of the Moon must die, followed by Sara and Beautiful Child and Angel. Storms has to be in the top five, though. But I will sacrifice it to save a Lindsey song.

SOTM can go, but the others will stay as long as I have breath in my windbag body

I suggest SOTM, then BC, then Storms. (Sorry diss I find Storms can be quite dull).

I want Storms to be the conquerer of I know I'm not wrong (1), the Ledge or TEFM in the final. But since the deletion of WMYTYTO, I really expect a top 4 of Steviesongs. And that's worth a depression.

And my question would be, why continue to feed that "Image" that she finds so frustrating by releasing such stuff as SOTM? Stevie has always said that she expresses her emotions through her music and if that isn't getting to know someone to an extent, I don't know what is. Sorry, but I just found that explanation a bit off-the-wall.

Perhaps the final product was out of her hands (referring to the fact that it's reminiscent of "Gold Dust Woman" and the live versions of "Rhiannon," production-wise).
"Sisters" could be one of those songs she was referring to in later years, when she said that some of her Mac material didn't turn out the way she would have wanted.

Lyrically, I think she has to reference "the image" in order to make her point. In her own way, she's romanticizing exactly what it is she's criticizing.
Looking at the lyrics, I think she's even telling us that she bought into "the image" just as much as anyone else had ("she was dark at the top of the stairs... and she called to me...."), but its appeal was limiting and constraining.

I think it's deeper than people give it credit for.

She could've been referring to WISYA, too.

What I was referring to was your interpretation of the lyrics, Le Stew, not the production. The lyrics were not out of her hands.

Limiting and constraining...yet used at every opportunity from then to now.

Funny... when she tries to limit her wardrobe changes, or when she opts not to wear the platforms, or when she tones down the twirls and the swirls and all the mysticism (not to mention the banshee singing), we all whine and cry about it.

If she plays up "the image," she's criticized. If she downplays it, she's criticized.

Like I've said... damned if you do, damned if you don't.

And one could say that while Lindsey complained about having to work and not being able to play, it was by his own design that he later spent years on end slaving away in his home-studio.

In those two songs, they were both expressing their dissatisfaction in regards to the negative aspects of fame... and even though they both sought that success before and after those songs were written, I don't feel it weakens the poignancy of what either of them was expressing.

NO. I never understood that crappy debate. I doesn`t care one bit what kind of shoes that woman wears. Let her walk out barefoot with a tatoo on her feet saying "I`m in love with Eric Cartman" and I wouldn`t have recognized it in Oberhausen. Up to today I don't even know what the platform boots or her Reeboks everyone is talking about look like.
I was watching the show, enjoying the music and looking at what was going on on stage. But surely not what kind of shoes she has...
Although I clearly was there because I wanted to see Lindsey I was pleasantly surprised by the entire performance- I liked what she did there and she was in fine form too. The annoying fake romantic opera they were performing was the only bad thing about it.

Not by me. I've been saying for the longest time that she needs to ditch the mob widow garb and wear some pants.

Not by me, I was simply pointing out what I saw to be a flawed element of your interpertation.

And I would agree. But we don't necessarily know what he meant by "work" and "play," even though we have our suspicions. For all we know, his "play" could have been working on more of his material and the "work" could have been working on Stevie's.

Those are your interpetations, not all of ours.
