Question Mayall 1982 reunion concert CD question

I wasn't sure where to post this so I hope I chose the best forum.

I've got the US version of the Mayall "The 1982 Reunion Concert" CD on One Way Records and I noticed at the Penguin discography that the cover for the Repertoire import is used and the tracklisting on the page lists a track called "Get Me Some Dollars" which isn't on my One Way Records version.

So, does anyone know if the Repertoire version does in fact have an extra track?

Let me know if you can so I can upgrade if needed, thanks in advance.

John

Hi John,

I listened through the Repertoir release this weekend. It got 11 tracks. No. 10 is "Get me some dollars". According to the liner notes (probaly the same as the for the US version as they don't mention that song) there were 2 shows that evening in 1982 at the Wax Museum, the recordings from the second show suffering from technical problems. On the CD tracks 1 to 9 (until "Room to move") are of good quality and fun to listen to. Tracks 10 and 11 are bad sound quality, quiet distorted and with an annoying echo on the vocals, it sounds like the 2 channels are out of sync. So these 2 songs seem to be from the second show. Track 11 is "Have you heard". It is very interesting to compare MTs playing to the EC version on the "Bluesbreakers with EC" album. But the inclusion of "some dollars" makes much less sense. The song is, to my ears, nothing special and the sound quality still horrible. Probably that's why they didn't include it on the US version. In my opinion it would not be worth the money to get the German import CD just because of this song.
