Default New Haven, CT 1986

I recently discovered this tape in my collection and it is one of the best RAL shows. Stevie seemed to really be in fine voice and control. No incoherent babbling or anything.

There's no date on the cassette but i deduce that this must be early June or late May. I checked the Stevie/FM tour diaries page but it's not there.

Anyone?

Check out the Fleetwood Mac Legacy's concert pages, they're very thorough.

New Haven, CT was on July 29, 1986.

That is the correct date and I was there at that show. Despite the problems of that time, with what Stevie was going through, which at the time being 16, I never really saw that side of her and I felt she put on an awesome show. Her voice was in tune and she danced around, spun and even moonwalked out onto the stage!

wow....i'm surprised that it was as late as that. i don't understand all this negativity that she was so horrible on that tour. a lot of the tapes i have (including this one) are pretty damn good.

I agree. I think the RAL was good in alot of ways and there were some great great shows. There were, however, some bad ones and that probably was due to the drugs. But, the vast majority of the ones I have heard are good and many are great.

i saw stevie this tour on april 19th 1986 in lincoln, nebraska & have the pictures to prove it, but u know what is funny? every site that has all the dates listed 4 this tour doesn't have the show i attended listed, it drives me nuts!!! if the date is listed it says iowa city, it's like it never existed!!!!~ anyways she was on top of her game that night very awesome, she was very playful w/ the audience & she came over 2 us b4 singing "no spoken word" & shook my hand 4 a very long time, i told stevie i loved her & she said it back to me, then she took the pale pink shawl i had brought 4 her, well then she went in 4 a clothing change & when she came out she was wearing the shawl i gave her , well needless 2 say i was freaking!!!~ & @ the end of the song when she says "let's make a deal here", she pointed right @ me, it was the most awesome stevie moment in my life til this tour when i got 2 shake hands w/ her again @ soux city, she was smiling over @ us all night & giggling when we did the "say you will" dance w/ her & when i yelled thanx u stevie 4 sara, she looked right @ me a gave the sweetest most beautiful smile, i will never 4get it!!!!~ here is a pic my ma took @ the show(from the RAL tour), she was farther back than our front row~ it is a little grainy, mind u it was from 18 years ago~

that's a great story...you know, there's a bootleg video that has part of the Nebraska show and the Iowa shot. I actually have the Iowa show. Not sure what the date is. I saw her on 5-30 in Wisconsion (Alpine Valley) and 6-21 in Chicago (the infamous Cloaks and Daggers show). I really can't listen to the Alpine Valley show that much. She was pretty f'd up. Chicago was better.

I heard that through the grapevine.

I almost had a heart attack when she started singing that.

I believe that it was either during Edge of Seventeen or towards the end of Rhiannon. It never fials to crack me up every time I hear it.

It was great that you were there, I'm sure it was better live!
