They did a trade-off. Stevie told Britney she'd show the chest, Britney said she'd show the crack.

Mind you, this was a solid ten years before Stevie ever started wearing them.
And I'm going into my Junior year too, spooky!

Although I probably won't wear them to school- but for running shoes, they're great!

Her hair did look WILD on the 'Dance' cover... I loved it, with the random wavy and crimped pieces mixed in with her straight hair.

Would probably be tough to maintain for a tour though.

I do that every day and I'm not even queer.

Compared to maintaining a coke and klonopin addiction, it should be a piece of cake. Seriously, I'd just like her to thin it out, layer it, and get a new dye job. Then I'd be happy.

That's just such a huge generalization. I would say it really depends on the shape of one's face. I think some people do look older, and in some cases, women have a hard time keeping their hair healthy if it's that long, so they do wind up looking older if they keep it long. I love Stevie with her long hair, but I don't think it's right for everyone her age.

Lowlights are when a stylist does the opposite of highlights. If your hair is a lighter color... light-brown or blond, for example... they can add a darker color to your hair (though not TOO much darker, or it would look unnatural), to make it appear that the lighter sections are your highlights.

My mom's a beautician (well, by profession she's a desirologist... someone who does the hair and cosmetics on the corpses for a funeral home), so I've learned thru osmosis.

I don't think the layers would work well - she'd have to be reeeeaaallly carreful what kind of layers. And layers can make a lot of types of hair look thinner and more split - noticably if the hair is straight...So, I guess i disagree with you...

I think she desperately needs layers at this point. A good stylist can layer the thinnest hair out there and make it look good, they just have to know what they're doing. Bust out the thinning shears and attack that thick mane of Stevie's, I say!

Seriously, her hair looks fried.

Why? Layers make it look more like you have split ends. And what would the layers look like on her straight hair? Like, what would be their point? Their shape? Their interaction with her face?

Layers make you look like you have split ends? Since when? Layers work best on straight hair because it's takes away a lot of the thickness but keeps the volume. Her hair looks too thick and fried, it needs to be thinned and layered.

Stevie already looks like she has split ends.

I didn't think she looked like she has split ends.
If you wear your hair straight, then get it layered, the ends tend to "puff" or "fly" out a little so that you can see them, making your hair look split at each layer level. (I have noticed this a lot, on people with layers. The only layers I've seen that have looked GREAT is on people with really thick hair that is curly when cut into layers)
I've seen straight hair with layers look ok, but it has to be cut perfectly and maintained stringently every day....
I'd really have to see this carefully planned out and perfect to ever think it would look good, sorry!

I highly doubt that Stevie would do something new to her hair and not have it cut perfectly.

My grandmother was a hairdresser and, IMO, layers look best on people with straight hair.

A)Judging by past Stevie hair, i think it's possible that it won't be perfect.
B)You are wrong about layers...IMO ATD
C)It's possible it would look ok, I like her hair the way it is, though.

a) She's never had layers by which we can say that it would look bad.
b) I'm right about layers.
c) She needs to 86 the frump look and go for something that will suit her better.
