I don't really like southwest furnishings, but rather the architectural style. Like the adobe style homes or any of the homes in the southwest that have stucco front, tile roofs, lots of arched doors inside. That sort of thing.

I suppose I'd like them more if those houses were not so often clustered together. Some neighborhoods all you see are those red roofs & stucco walls. I like diverse neighborhoods. Those of you who know Houston, the neighborhoods right by Rice U. are beautiful for this reason. Each house seems to do its own thing, but it feels like a neighborhood in sync because of neat planning (consistent distances from the street & between houses, for example).

How about you?

You into flying buttresses and such? I like the high gothic stuff. More windows, more light. There's a gorgeous two story cathedral in Paris called Sainte Chapelle that I love.

For homes, I like big old Victorian homes. Fireplaces, attics, hard wood floors.

A little bit of everything. My favorite is probably Art-Deco. I like modern, too.

Yeah, like I said, I like Gothic.
I know Saint Chapelle & think I went there twenty years ago.

Good taste. I love haunted looking houses & old mansions. But then again a Georgian country house by tall trees is nice as well.

I never appreciated Victorians until I moved away from the East Coast. Until then they looked like typical old houses to me.

When I think modern I remember how my high school girlfriend loved that atrocious house in Ruthless People, the one Midler & Devito lived in. Shudder.
