ABSOLUTELY. I think it's the best vers of the song out there. It's one of the not talked about highlights of the DVD.

I thought the vocal was EXCEPTIONALLY gorgeous, didn't adore the slightly "fuller", less spare, countryish guitar, but still loved it.

Yeah his vocals were great. The guitar was more "sparse" than he used to do it. In fact I wish he was playing it fast & full like on the Rumours record.

I always liked the quick version of it he did on the Rumours DVD by Rhino. The behind the music sort of thing with him in the black suit.

"Never Going Back Again" was one of the surprise highlights of the DVDs for me.
I found myself liking this version far more than any other live version of it that I've heard (not that I've disliked previous performances, just that this one had more "oomph," and, in my opinion, a better arrangement).

Thumbs up Yeah...

It does sound great (The version in question is playing loudly on my stereo even as I type this...) and is well mixed, Probably the best version live I have on disc at this time.

Yea that's one of my favourites. It's the casual "oh ok, I'll play you a song if you like" factor which makes that so good: Lindsey tends to be at his best when he least realises it...

(Off topic but I think that's the point where he started losing weight after The Dance...he looks a lot like his OOTC days during that NGBA clip.)

I really like this live version. I think the bluegrass guitar feel is really a nice touch.

I really, really like the way this song has come off on this tour. The DVD performance is no exception.

Gorgeous. Stunning. I love the new full band arrangement...they brought something new to the song without overpowering it. It's "just right". This song is just outstanding no matter how it's done...that melody! The words are so wonderful and simple, but the instrumental version on the Rumours bonus CD almost made me cry. I love, too, that Lindsey seems so moved by his own creation when he is playing it.

Talking

I think I like the version on the "Rumours" DVD-Audio the best. If you haven't heard it, you are really missing out.

This is fantastic, and the sound-quality... .

I'm really glad to be able to listen to this version, but if I had to choose I prefer the simpler version in the context of the album.

(But any version of this song sends me through the roof! )
