Hey, sorry it took a bit, exams are a PAIN!

Lets see I do love alot in R&R heaven, or in permenant retirement (Jefferson Airplane), I haven't seen as many concerts as I would like in fact FM was my first arena concert, I've seen several ppl at fairs that I like:
Pat Benatar, Steppenwolf, Starship (minus Grace), Alro Guthrie (alices resturant), Hewy Lewis and the News, George Throughgood.

Ppl I love but will never get to see:
Beatles
Led Zep (just bought Physical Graffiti and IV on record)
Janis
Jimi
The Doors
The Who
Mamas and Papas
Beach Boys
The Eagles (too much $$$)
Crosby Stills Nash and Young (together)
Van Morrison
Bob Dylan
Pink Floyd
The Byrds...

Ppl I hope to or will get to see
Madonna (yeah I know not Rock, but I do love her music)
Stevie solo
Stones (questionable, I don't know if I want to see the so old?)
Joan Jett (hopefully at a fair)
The Corrs
Tom Petty
Wilson Phillips
There are more but yeah...

Well...

I saw the Eagles 4 times on the Hell Freezes Over '94/5 Tour (My Mom and I almost passed out at those "very first of the high ticket prices" at $85...seems funny now) and they are great! But, I haven't seen them since then because I don't want to pay the $175 (and it kinda bothers me that Don Felder is gone). Now, with Pink Floyd and The Who, I assume you mean "never" because because you'd want to see the classic lineups all together? I haven't heard if The Who are continuing without Entwhistle (I'm not really a fan), but they have the rockin' Zak Starkey (Ringo Starr's son) as their drummer. I wouldn't give up hope on CSNY...you never know what Neil Young will do. I saw them all together in 2000, and, though I do love Neil Young, I prefered the CSN show I went to last year (and will see them again this year). The venue was much more intimate, and the CSNY show was kind of dominated by Neil anyway (setlist- and presence-wise), so I'd rather just see CSN or Neil Young. And why do you think you'll never see Bob D.? I finally saw him last year...it was awesome even though he pretty much ad-libs all of the songs vocal melody-wise and many of them therefore do not resemble the original in any way . My favorite thing was that he played The Stones' "Brown Sugar". DO NOT miss The Stones...their age is not a factor for me and it does not effect the show in any manner. In fact, you're left wondering "How the heck do they still have so much energy?"...and it's not just Mick. Also, NEVER miss The Petty Man.

Wha?!!! You didn't want to see The Doors as they toured last year?

Hey thanks for the advice and bit of hope for some of the ppl. As for The Who and Pink Floyd, yeah I meant origional line-ups, also there is something about those bamds and their "era" I think, like in some ways even if Led Zep and The Doors were still alive today I'm not sure I'd want to see them, it's like those bands were never meant to grow old, b/c part of what made them great would be lacking. Not true for all bands, great example is the Mac simple b/c their songs are not really set for a certain period and it is still relatable to see Stevie singing about love, pain, etc, not sure I could say the same for a sixty year old guy singing "LA Woman, or Kashmir."

And yeah the Doors touring is a bit of a joke, be kinda like the Beatles w/o John or Paul, then we would've had the "Threeatles"

You are sooo lucky to have seen the Eagles before tix prices skyrocketed, da*m them.

I will probably try and catch Petty and the Stones on their next tours if $$ allows although Petty I hear actually makes tixs affordable (what a concept

As a side note, I enjoyed the tail end of Stand Back on that tour. The kick and "Time of my life" lines.

Yeah, baybay!

(One of my all-time faves of Stevie's "little song additions". And, just to be picky, it was also sometimes "time of your life". Which still comes across as a reference to herself. She has such a knack for that.)

Yeah, I thought that as I typed it.
