So I decided to go to Tower Records last night to go buy the Maroon 5 album, decided to walk by the "F"s and guess what I found? I found the "Tusk" reissue...they had about 20 copies laying out there. BUT, I guess they made a mistake b/c I walked back down the isle about 2 min later and they were all gone. Either someone bought 20 copies or they relized that they weren't supposed to be out until today.

So off I go to buy "Rumours".

The first Best Buy I went to had none of them. That was the one where I hunted down the manager of the media dept. and asked what gives and why aren't the reissues here because their website said they would be. He then looked it up on his computer and told me three of each had been ordered for each store (in the DC area I guess-I didn't ask about that). I was going somewhere else today so asked the guy if I could pay for and reserve the cd's now and come get them when they arrived. He said I couldn't do that. That's when I told him the company must have no idea how many Fleetwood Mac fans were out there waiting for these reissues and that he wouldn't have the three cd's of each for even 24 hours! He looked like he thought I was a little nuts but it turns out I was right-when I did find Tusk (only) at another Best Buy in Woodbridge, I got the last one..so glad I lucked out..

I got all three of my reissues at Borders. They had tons of copies of each reissue.

Rumours and Tusk were $19 each, and the White Album was $11.

I found the White Album & Rumours at Best Buy but NO Tusk! I went to Circuit City and they didn't have ANY of the reissues. So I came home and brought it off of BestBuy.Com.

Rumours &19.99 (tons of copies)
Tusk $13.99 (2 copies)
FM $11.99 (about 5 or 6 copies)

Red face Best Buy sucks sometimes

I work for one of the many Best Buy stores in Orlando and I KNEW we were going to run out. We had 5 copies of Rumours, 4 copies of Fleetwood Mac and 2 copies of Tusk. I bought one of each before the store even opened. Needless to say there were 3 or 4 people upset that day. I told them to order at least 5 more of each but they didnt listen. Too bad!

I got all three of mine at Circuit City on the morning of the 23rd before I went into work. They hadn't even put them on the shelf, they were on a trolley waiting to be put up. I saw two copies of Rumours, one copy of the White album and no Tusk! Of course, that was the one I wanted most. The trolley had a second lower compartment and thanks to the person who misfiled Tusk with the artists who begins with T as I found the only copy of that. So I bought all three for fear they would be very limited release. I left there and only one copy of Rumours was left in the building.

Best Buy must've messed up with presales, because I bought Tusk for 13.99, and now I believe it's the same price as Rumours.
They also emailed me they shipped it last week, yet the tracking # shows it just shipped yesterday.

Yeah, I think that Best Buy Tusk pre-order price was a mistake on their website. I think it was priced as if it was the old CD, not the new 2 CD remastered version. It doesn't matter to me anyway since I got it for the cheaper price. Their e-mail said that it was shipped on Friday and I just got all of them in the mail an hour ago.

Now what about the album sales/chart positions then? Do these reissues count as new albums? Or are they regarded as the originals i.e. the sales numbers for f.e. Rumours reissue counts/is added to the 19millions they sold in the US up to today?
And if there is a huge interest and stores running out of CD`s, then all of these albums appear on the album charts next week again?

Sadly, my problem isn't a lack of 'Tusk'... it's too many copies!

I ordered the three from CDUniverse, and I received my shipment today, only to find that they omitted my copy of 'Rumours,' and added a second copy of 'Tusk' in its place.
D'Oh!!!

But I called CDUniverse, and it seems we've gotten it all straightened out... so I should have my copy of 'Rumours' around this time next week.

I'm disappointed, but at least the other two arrived!
