You've all made me feel really old. My Saturday mornings were spent watching Looney Toons, Scooby Doo (w/o Scrappy!) and the SuperHeros (Wonder Woman, Wonder Twins, etc). As for taping them, well VCRs weren't around yet. Maybe Beta versions, but not many people had them...we did have Pong, though!

You said it, Carol.
And anybody remember The Shazam & Isis Hour?

Refresh my memory. Last I heard you were selling frozen custard at Dipstix on the boardwalk, no?

Anyways as for what I'm too old, well I still adore the chipmunks and if they are on I will watch them, discovered a lot of great music through that show Plus I have a stuffed alvin on my bed, my roomies call it my boyfriend, what can I say I had to bring one stuffed animal with me.

As for other stuff well my computer songs do include some disney tunes, and I do own both chipmunk christmas tapes.

Oh I still buy and read Betty and Veronicas regularly, but then again you're never to old for comic books.

I'm sure there are some other things I could mention, but I'll leave it at that.
I still have a soft spot for my memory of X-men comics, though I haven't read them in over twenty years. I never did get the fascination with Archie comics, though.
One stuffed animal is cute. I hope you weren't one of those girls with a hundred of them on your bed during the day! Ever see that Cheers episode where Sam tosses Diane's out the window?
Hey, I just remembered Animaniacs! Any other fans? Two of my best friends look like Yakko and Dot, so of course I'm Wakko. I have a Wakko pic on the wall above my desk with the word Wakko as he points to where I sit.

Oh, the pain of change.

I still recall the gentrified Atlantic City of my childhood weekends & the workers tearing down buildings to make room for the casinoes. (I AM that old.)
Search for it only on old postcards, for it is a civilization that is Gone with the Breeze.

Ha! Nerd. I do remember Animaniacs...however, I didn't like the show they originated on...Tiny Toon Adventures, I think. I still have the video game too...

I refer to the Simpsons regularly in my lessons, and I rarely watch it. The commercials tell me enough. Today I was referring to Marge as Helen of Troy, though I only know it from the ads.

Anybody else old enough to remember Superfriends? I even remember the days before the Wondertwins, when it was Marvin, Wendy, and Wonderdog.

My parents go there every year for Christmas. (It's the casinoes, the movies, or Chinatown when you're Jewish. )
And remember, my dad grew up there.

I used to collect. My mom (Marie Barone) threw them all away when I moved to Chicago! All that money down the drain.

I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday weekend! Yes ~ I need a life. LOL!
I never really liked Tom and Jerry much except for that French mouse who would say "Touche, Pussycat!" Give me Itchy and Scratchy.
