Seems to me that making fun of her appearance is making fun of her appearance. Period. Same difference, as they say.

I remember reading that she was so upset about the comments on her WEIGHT (aka - her appearance) that she seriously said she would never tour again unless she lost weight. I thought that was really sad. I want to go see her in concert no matter what she looks like (or is wearing).

Also, she seemed okay with the criticism on the cd because she herself was not happy with it. But it was the criticism on her LOOKS that really upset her. That seemed obvious in the stuff I read during that time.

And there are things here about her dress, but also about her losing weight and about her going on the Atkins diet. So this too is all about her appearance. I don't really care. I love talking about Stevie Nick's clothes. But still, you have to face facts - she is sensitive, she admits it and we hear FWM members say it also, and her friends too, AND - she would not find this amusing, if she were to read it. DUH!!!

I have noticed that ever since all the criticism about her constant wardrobe changes in between songs from critics, and after that tax thing, that she did start referring to her clothes as a "uniform" which drives me crazy, and started getting stingy on the outfit changes. But this would only further prove the point that she gets upset about picks on her appearance, and then tries to change ways to avoid having to get that criticism again. I'd get bored wearing the same thing all the time. I'd love to have money to have the coolest outfits, and the occasion to change into something new all the time. Ha! This just reminded me of something I heard Madonna say once when she was on Oprah a few years ago. She said something like how she gets worried that someone will photograph her in the same outfit, and then people will think she doesn't ever change her clothes, or can't afford a new outfit, so she literally wears things once and then gives them to her maid! lol! And here Stevie is seen and photgraphed for a full touring year in the same thing. Now it reminds me of how Stevie said once how Don Henley helped show her how to spend all her money and live like a star way back when. Maybe Madonna needs to give her a reminder about the clothing aspect. I love seeing her in new outfits, because I can vicariosly live through her!

And...how would you know?

She found the Letterman jabs about her being heavy and his showing clips of the treadmill scene in the Stand Back video to be amusing. Even she has said that she has a fantastic sense of humour and would love to be a comic. And, I hate to break it to you, but if you can't laugh about things like this when you're a celeb, you shouldn't be one.

I remember the I Can't Wait hand movements clip that he ran night after night.

Come on folks, we're only having a bit of fun. It's only a DRESS.

Default LMAO!!

Any woman who can laugh at one of those Billy Bass singing fish on a board things has a great sense of humour. I think she'd get a kick out of these silly rhymes.

Lorraine, something about your post has inspired me.

LAUNDREY (It was JUST A DRESS!):

So I'm back to my Phoenix laundrey room
Back to the Maytag...that I love
To a room...with lint traps...and fabric softener
Back to the laundrey that I love
To BlackLaundrey that I love
(doo doo doo doo....)

And it all spins gently, too
Well you know that it does
Well, timer strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
And it lights up BlackTights
And you see BlackCardigan
You see NewBlackDress

To full hamper for remains
Pre-treat pit stains with a little Cheer
I have no bleach, I wear only black
And if I had just one rinse
And the rinse was enough
Enough for me to wash
And then to wear

Darks are tumbling away from you now
It was just a wash
It was just a wash
You see your laundrey
You see your laundrey...
And another rinse is all that is left for you now
I still see your Reeblechs...

It dies when the dress goes & the next one doesn't stay for a year.
That was our blood oath, remember?

I find the dress scarier - and even more entertaining - than that movie.

The dress does provide a higher quality of entertainment, yes. Tell me you didn't think it was gross when she crawled out of the TV? If she keeps wearing Black Dress, it's going to crawl off her body...and that? would be frightening... :shivers:

Sorry, the movie made no sense, I cared nothing for the victims, and the TV scene would have made me laugh if I were not so bored. Like I said, sorry.

It made no sense to me either. I can't believe they're making a sequel. Honestly, it would have made for a much better movie if everyone were killed

The deleted scenes from contained on the DVD make the movie make more sense. But, yes, as it stands, "The Ring" made no sense.
