Default i need a stevie song question answered pls

A friend of mine wrote me the following a week ago. I do not know the answer. Does anyone?

I have a Stevie Nicks question - and who better to ask? I remember
hearing "Magnet and Steel" with Stevie on lead vocal on WXRT many times
in the 80s. My Springsteen buddies (some of whom are Fleetwood Mac fans)
know of only one version by Walter Egan with Stevie on backup vocals.
Have you ever heard or heard of the Stevie-on-lead version, or am I
nuts? (OK, maybe that's not an either/or situation.) Just answer the
first part of the question, please.

Can anyone shed some light on this pls?

Janice

I only know (and have ) the Walter Egan version with Stevie on backing vocals. If there's one of her on lead, i'd like to hear it

lol this is like the time that i SWEAR i heard tom petty cover Talk to Me on the radio.... i was flipping through stations one night late on my way home (i was still in high school so 1 am was LATE) and i heard tom's voice so i stopped... and he was singing Talk to Me .... i SWEAR ! and i remember thinking that it was very odd... and then the DJ came on and said "that was Tom Petty doing a cover of Stevie Nicks' 'Talk to Me' " and i went "wow that's so strange i've never heard of that!!" and i've tried and tried to find a copy of it... i've even gone to die hard tom petty websites asking people in chatrooms and boards... and no one knows what i'm talking about... i swear i heard it!

Yes, same album as Magnet & Steel ( also Blond in the Blue T-Bird).
