You're actually not dragging them in, in literal computer terms, you're just opening them (not to listen to, but to work on).

In theory, you should be able to have it open your entire KaZaA folder, but I've never tried having it open over 600 tracks at once before, so I don't know if that might cause your PC to freeze or not.
I think I'd work on only a handful of tracks at a time, if I were you... and I think the most I've done at once is about 36.

No, what you'll want to do is open the songs in MP3Gain (the way I described in my other message), set the target volume level you desire, and then choose Track Gain.

MP3Gain will then set the new volume level for each track, one at a time, until the tracks are finished.

Once you've done that, close MP3Gain, and then burn your CD using whichever program you've been using.

MP3Gain isn't an mp3 player or a CD-burner... it's only use is to adjust the overall volume level of your mp3s, so they'll have a uniform sound.

Isn't there this Ken Caillat anecdote that goes as following: when the first cd pressing of Rumours was released he noticed way too late that the sound was subpar on it. So when he went in to do the second pressing, he wanted to put a sticker on it that said "This isn't the same piece of sh*t that was in the stores before". But my memory is shady on that one.

Hey, here's a thought...

We got to hear a snippet of the original "Chain" track, "Keep Me There," on the DVD-A. Maybe we'll get the whole thing on the reissue? Or was it ever close to being finished?

No. "Teen Beat" is a cover of a 1959 hit song by Sandy Nelson. Lindsey changed the arrangement quite a bit, however.

You can find a full version of "Keep Me There" on many bootlegs and they are mostly good quality.

I jumped out of my seat when i read this
in the yahoo stevieclub i hang out
i mean i was already happy with them just as remasters
(due to as many of you already mentioned the poor sound quality and the butchering of sara and i know i'm not wrong on tusk)
but to have em with all these extras aswell !!!

b.t.w. my mirage is a european pressing but it is also not that good. (don't have the american pressing to compair though)

What is this i read on timespace
i never noticed any remixing on it
can anyone tell me more about this ??

Hi Marc,

Several of the songs on 'Timespace' were subtly remixed by Chris Lord-Alge, to "freshen them up" a little.

He remixed "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," "Stand Back," Beauty And The Beast," "If Anyone Falls," "Rooms On Fire," "Edge Of Seventeen," "Leather And Lace" and "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You."
(His brother, Tom Lord-Alge, had previously remixed "Whole Lotta Trouble" when it was released as a single, and that version was also included on 'Timespace.')

I'm really not sure why folks complain about those mixes... the songs weren't drastically changed, just tweaked a little. Plus, it gave us something a little different, rather than just a simple re-hash of the exact same versions we already had on the albums.
But then, I'm a fan of alternate mixes, etc., so maybe that's why I liked it.

i think i never heard it because i basically bought al of stevie's solo stuff within 3 months
so it was all new for me than (before 99 i never heard a single solo song (or any of the other band members for that matter.
but if they would do this remixing (even if it is subtle with either SYW or TISL i WOULD notice as i bought both albums on the day of release and know them by heart

and strandinthewind glad i wasn't the only one

A friend of mine razzes me all the time, because she can never hear the differences in radio remixes either.
We'll be in the car, with the radio on, and I'll say, "Ooh, I like this version!" and she'll just roll her eyes at me because she couldn't tell the difference if her life depended on it.

Anyway, like i said, the 'Timespace' mixes are all pretty subtle... but if you listen closely, you can tell the difference.

well i for one are not that bad lol
i mean rhiannon, say you will and over my head for example are pretty obvious

i will compare the timespace tracks see if i can hear when i pay atention to it

Thanks for the info ChiliD, I just listened to the original. The end btw reminds me of the ending of another Lindsey or FM song. He seems to have gotten some inspiration by that one. Unfortunately I can't name it by now. Tusk era perhaps I have to listen to some tracks to tell... Concerning the song Teen beat. The Lindsey version with a lot of muttering and groaning but no real vocals still is a song fragment to me. Aborted work in progress. Just like "Wear you down" which has the potential of getting a great song if he puts some work in it to finish. He either should have left "Teen beat" as an instrumental track or he should have added some real lyrics to it. I sometimes think there were good reasons when artists left certain songs out of their albums and songs like "Goodbye angel", "Make me a mask" (at least these are finished songs) and especially "Teen beat" fall under that categorie for me.
