I just voted for IIM, I love that song in any version. I hadn't seen this post before.

By the way, Rhino just posted John Coltrane's Giant Steps and Fleetwood Mac's Tango In The Night are now available on 180-gram premium-quality vinyl as part of Rhino's new Rhino Reserve line.

The Tango in the Night deluxe edition has some very strong outtakes and bonus tracks, but the "Seven Wonder" demo is probably the one I listen to the most. "Where We Belong" is probably a close second. I'm surprised about the love for "Ricky", which in my opinion is one of Christine's worst songs with Fleetwood Mac exclusively because of her vocals. The instrumental track is somewhat appealing with the tuned tom-toms, but it's still rather unbaked, hence why it was likely omitted from the original album. As a B-side, it does its job, but compared to the other tracks, it pales in comparison.

I haven't thought about which is the worst, but I agree about not liking Ricky. And yes, her vocals made me think What were they trying to do?

Christine rarely wrote a crap song, but sorry, Ricky sucks.

To be fair, does anyone believe Christine put the same amount of effort into writing Ricky as she did Everywhere, Isn't It Midnight or Little Lies? I've always considered it to be a cutesy throwaway song similar to The Lizard People.

I know. It's just a throwaway song idea. Just messing around...

It's plastic crap, just like most of Tango.

Definitely not. If I didn't know it was recorded during Tango sessions, I'd think it was from other year, when her mood was not enthusiastic about being in the band.

I think it's a joke. Ricky being Richard... And like Cool Water, they just threw it on a B side.

It's infectious to me and I see where it could have gone. There are much worse songs by FM. Go ahead hate me! I care not! Especially, you Homie! You've hated me for years.

Agree w/ you on Sugar Daddy, however. It's truly like a delicious fine wine.

Did you mean Dashut?

Cool Water sounds to me like a song that belongs on a Lindsey solo album, not a Fleetwood Mac one.

Thettle down, Nancy.

You know, I haven't thought of this for 40 years(the year I was born), but I once played Cool Water on the jukebox at Pizza Hut, and everyone(myself included) was all, "wtf is that?", and I never played it again.
