Every Song Played Live From the White Album

I figured for the sake of documentation that I would compile a list of every Fleetwood Mac song that has been played live from the White Album. Later on, I will compile a list for all subsequent albums and may even tackle everything from their self-titled debut through Heroes are Hard to Find later on.

Overall, the White Album is frequently one of the best-represented albums in the band's setlists, only behind Rumours. With the exception of "Sugar Daddy" and "Warm Ways", all of these songs were performed at least once during the band's accompanying Fleetwood Mac tour from 1975-76. Seeing that Buckingham and Nicks only had material from Buckingham Nicks and the White Album to pull from, it's conceivable that all of their songs from the latter album would be culled for the tour. Meanwhile, McVie already had an extensive pool of songs to pull from, dating back to her "Get Like You Used to Be" composition from Chicken Shack. As such, her only songs from the White Album that have been represented in any capacity are "World Turning" plus her two hits from the album: "Over My Head" and "Say You Love Me"

From the Rumours Tour onwards, theWhite Album continued to receive substantial representation in their setlists. Other than "Crystal", the remaining songs from this album that appeared on the White Album have been included on numerous tours.

1) Monday Morning - A regular fixture in the band's setlist until 1979. Upon his return in 1997, "Monday Morning" was initially overlooked for The Dance Tour and Say You Will Tour, but finally reemerged during the 2009 Unleashed Tour, where it was one of the few non-hits included in the setlist. "Monday Morning" did not resurface until the 2018-19 An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour, where Finn covered Buckingham's vocals. However, the song was later dropped from the setlist by the end of their European leg in 2019 due to the difficulties that Finn had singing it. He suggested lowering the song a few keys, but the song was instead replaced with "Man of the World" starting with their Oceana leg.

Appearances: Fleetwood Mac tour (both the 1975 and 1976 setlist), Rumours Tour (with the exception of the first North American leg), Tusk Tour, Unleashed Tour, An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour. Buckingham Nicks had also played the song live.

3) Blue Letter - A song from the Buckingham Nicks era that was a consistent fixture in the setlist from 1975-1990, with only a few absences during portions of the Rumours and Tusk tours. Even after Buckingham's departure, the band still performed the song during their Shake the Cage Tour and Behind the Mask Tour. Neither Nicks nor Buckingham performed during their Another Link in the Chain Tour, which was the first tour that entirely omitted the song. Since then, the song has been entirely retired from live performances with the exception of a single performance during the band's An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour, where Finn handled the song's lead vocals.

Appearances: Fleetwood Mac Tour, Rumours Tour (from Second North American leg onwards), Tusk Tour (1st North American Leg), Mirage Tour, Shake the Cage Tour, Behind the Mask Tour, plus one performance during the An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour. Buckingham Nicks had also played the song live.

4) Rhiannon - Supposedly the band's most performed song, "Rhiannon" has been performed live at nearly every opportunity with the exception of a few shows during the Shake the Cage Tour and the entirety of the Another Link in the Chain Tour.

Appearances - Fleetwood Mac Tour, Rumours Tour, Tusk Tour, Mirage Tour, Shake the Cage Tour, Behind the Mask Tour, The Dance Tour, Say You Will Tour, Unleashed Tour, 2013 Tour, On With the Show Tour, An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour. Buckingham Nicks had also played the song live and Nicks has included the song in her solo setlists.

5) Over My Head - As the band's first major US hit, the song was unsurprisingly a regular presence during the Fleetwood Mac Tour. Eventually, the song was dropped in favor of even bigger McVie hits, only appearing intermittently from 1978-1982. McVie did revive the song for her 1984 solo tour and it also appeared during nearly all performances of their 1987 leg of the Shake the Cage Tour, but the song largely disappeared for nearly all of the 1990s and 2000s barring a few performances on The Dance Tour, one of which appeared on the DVD. After McVie's official return to the band in January 2014, the song returned for the majority of their On With the Show Tour, but it was her only song swapped out during the Oceana leg, being replaced by "Think About Me"

Appearances - Fleetwood Mac Tour, Rumours Tour (largely dropped by the Penguin Safari leg), Shake the Cage Tour (dropped by the end of their 1987 leg), The Dance Tour (very sparingly), On With the Show Tour (replaced with "Think About Me" during the Australian leg). Also performed on McVie's 1984 solo tour.

6) Crystal - A Buckingham Nicks track, the song was dropped after the Fleetwood Mac tour despite John McVie expressing interest in performing it during a Q&A with The Penguin in the 2000s.

Appearances: Occasionally played on the Fleetwood Mac Tour. Also performed during some Buckingham Nicks shows.

7) Say You Love Me - This has been performed on a more regular basis than "Over My Head", having also served as the opening song of the set for some of the band's earlier tours. During McVie's time with the band, the song's only major absence was the Mirage Tour, where some of McVie's hits from the Mirage album were showcased instead. It was then revived for the Shake the Cage Tour and was occasionally performed during the Behind the Mask Tour. Following McVie's initial retirement from touring, Bekka Bramlett sang "Say You Love Me" during the Another Link in the Chain Tour. Upon McVie's return in 1997, the song received a new arrangement built around Buckingham's banjo playing, John McVie on backing vocals, Mick Fleetwood on a cocktail drum kit, and lots of tambourines. McVie left the following year, although the song was nonetheless performed during the band's 2009 Unleashed Tour, this time with Stevie Nicks handling lead vocals. McVie rejoined in 2014, and the song was restored to the setlist for the band's remaining tours.

Appearances - Fleetwood Mac Tour, Rumours Tour, Tusk Tour (except for their 1980 North American leg), Shake the Cage Tour, Another Link in the Chain Tour, The Dance Tour, Unleashed Tour, On With the Show Tour, An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour. Performed on McVie's 1984 solo tour.

8) Landslide - A consistent fixture during the band's acoustic portion of the set with the exception of the Shake the Cage Tour, where it was replaced with "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You". It's only other absence from the setlist occurred during the 1994-1995 Another Link in the Chain Tour, having only appeared a few times on the tour before it was swapped for a cover of "Imagine".

9) World Turning - Another reliable presence in the setlist and a showcase for Mick Fleetwood's drum solo, which became increasingly bizarre starting in 1987 with the incorporation of the drum vest, which was eventually retired after the Say You Will Tour. The song was only absent from the Mirage Tour and The Dance Tour, with "Not That Funny" serving as the vehicle for Fleetwood's drum solo instead.

Appearances: Fleetwood Mac Tour, Rumours Tour, Tusk Tour, Shake the Cage Tour, Behind the Mask Tour, Another Link in the Chain Tour, Say You Will Tour, Unleashed Tour, 2013 Tour, On With the Show Tour, An Evening With Fleetwood Mac Tour. Also performed during the Buckingham McVie Tour and on Buckingham solo tours from 2006-2008.

11) I'm So Afraid - Has appeared in the setlist for every Fleetwood Mac tour Buckingham participated in. The song took on a different arrangement live, with the version found on The Dance being arguably more popular than the original. Features an arranged guitar solo that largely remains consistent from performance to performance. Buckingham has also included the song in his solo setlists starting in 1993, with a more subdued arrangement. His solo renditions of "I'm So Afraid" tend to be slightly tamer than his performances with Fleetwood Mac.
