"Songbird" is my favorite from 1975-1987, but "Why" is my all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac song.

Storms.

It's the first song that comes to my mind everytime I'm asked this question. It's the first song that truly hit me in the gut.

BTW Homer, there are a few Stevie songs that I can and do pass over, especially post-Mirage era.

But don't tell anybody!!

I like the Tusk version, BUT - have you ever heard the outtake version with the guitar playing. I like them both, but like the outtake better. The guitar playing in it is just so vibrant. Someone had it posted on their site awhile back. So, it may still be out there!!!

It's a three-way tie between Storms, the Dance version of Silver Springs, and Say Goodbye.

Storms is Stevie at the top of her game; beautiful vocals, personal and haunting lyrics that speak volumes, and one of the best arrangments of any song. Silver Springs is...you know, fabulous. And Say Goodbye is my favorite Lindsey song ever. That is one beautiful song.

This is easy for me: Save Me a Place. No song ever said so much with so few words.

Funny how we FM maniacs can have such differing opinions. I think "Save Me a Place" is one of FM's worst songs.

I think "Sara" and "Sisters of the Moon" are my faves.

Counter question...what if my "ONE favorite Fleetwood Mac song" ISN'T from "the Buckingham Nicks years"?

(and of the many versions of THE song, the versions I've heard FROM the "Buckingham Nicks years" are my LEAST favorite)

So, THAT off my chest:

Screw the rules, my favorite FMac song is "Oh Well". Take it or leave it.

Tough one...Eyes of the World and I'm So Afraid (live versions, 2003 and 1997 respectively) are amazing, as well as GYOW from the Dance (sorry, I'm Lindsey-biased). Overall, the live versions are much better than the studio recordings.

Thumbs up That's easy...

that would be the song "Storms" on the Tusk album.

Brian j.

ps-My favorite song from the pre-"Buckingham/Nicks" era would be "Why"...

Yeah, rules suck. Why is my ultimate favorite FM/Christine song.

Then it's Oh Daddy. Then EOTW. Then Angel. Hell, all of Tusk, The White album and Mirage.

But, I still hate rules. lol.

BTW, I love Save Me a Place too... My second favorite LB song off of Tusk .
