I played it back several times. Does he say something that sounds like Boston? Was the blow that good that night that he thought they were in Boston?

P.S.
I am really digging this new version of Gypsy different than the HBO concert. Her bridge is better on HBO but I like this take overall better. Lindsey seems to play better guitar too.
Hold Me is outstanding!
I think he says “a massive welcome for Fleetwood Mac”…said in a British accent

Peter and Danny were pretty good at it.

Could it be 'boisterous'? I am Dutch, my English is not bad, but I have no idea if someone would say, "give a boisterous welcome to Fleetwood Mac!"

I like this more than I thought I would. Its rare to get something new and this good from this band at this point. Although my predictions of what the highlights would be turned out to be true:
Brown Eyes
Oh Well
Landslide
Sara
Hold Me
Second Hand News
To get professional released recordings of these songs on this tour is something I think we all dreamt about
I keep playing Gypsy. I love it. I had the other one down to a science. This one is new and unpredictable and I love it! The Rhiannon is far better IMHO from the audio/visual version that was released. Much of it is pretty much the HBO concert. But there are a few morsels of goodness spread throughout.
It was a lost opportunity to not have released this on the heals of The Dance.

I’m enjoying Dreams way, way more than I thought I would. Probably because you can hear Christine so clearly and Lindsey’s incredibly crisp guitar lines.

I have to say…there’s a rawness to the Mirage tour that’s always been enjoyable, but to hear it in such clarity makes it all extra crispy and enjoyable.

I hope we get the full videos of the Mirage tour from The Forum and US Festival. There’s three full shows from the Mirage on video. Someone somewhere has them.

I know, I know. I don't really care for Dreams in concert but this is my favorite.
To have such clarity on these songs is incredible. Lindsey's ending guitar work on Gypsy is insane. This was the last tour without back up singers so its wonderful to hear them all back each other up.

The piano on Hold Me should have been sharper and more prominent like it was on Sara. The guitar drowns out the piano on most of Hold Me and I think it would have sounded better live if it had been more piano heavy. Also they should have sang “hold me hold meeEEEE” instead of “hold me hold me yeah”

100% I'm picturing those tapes to be in a basement of crap of hoarder proportions.

I wish they'd get a fan to oversee these projects. But I guess they are wary of outsiders infiltrating "The Family."

Good Hold Me, and good Sara, too. When was the last time we heard those high notes? Awesome.
I agree. Sara is fantastic and has passion. So does Landslide. And Hold me is pretty damn good, too!

Absolutely, the only thing I can think of is that EEEEE is a harder vowel to keep in pitch. So they got lazy.

Please give a monstrous welcome to . . .

HOLD ME is different from the one on Live Deluxe. So we have both HOLD MEs from the Forum. (I remember a time when everybody here was hankering for even one HOLD ME from the Forum.)

My up-to-date list of previously unreleased:
  • Don’t Stop
  • Dreams
  • Oh Well
  • Rhiannon
  • Gypsy
  • Never Going Back Again
  • Landslide
  • Sara
  • You Make Loving Fun
  • Hold Me

That's an impressive majority of the set available for the first time. Not bad, Rhino. Thank you and keep up the good work. Venture a little further afield than the old video releases (as you did with the AUG 29 1977 Forum CD). We know you have full sets from these gigs because we have individual cuts:

MAY 18, 1977 Oklahoma City
MAY 19, 1977 Tulsa
MAY 20, 1977 Little Rock
MAY 21, 1977 Nashville
MAY 24, 1977 Columbia SC

NOV 5, 1979 St Louis
MAY 20, 1980 Cleveland
JUNE 20, 1980 London
JUNE 21, 1980 London
JUNE 22, 1980 London
JUNE 26, 1980 London
JUNE 27, 1980 London
AUG 21, 1980 Omaha
AUG 23, 1980 Kansas City
AUG 24, 1980 Kansas City
AUG 28, 1980 Tucson

I had no idea we had cuts from a total of five nights at Wembley in 1980! Sounds like a full Wembley show should be in the works. (That isn’t counting the 1975 show highlights we got on the white album deluxe or the first round of the 1980 Live album.)

A 1980 Tusk Tour Box Set with all of those '80 shows.... I would crawl across a desert for that.

This version of Sara is killer. They're running through that song at quite the clip, rivaling some of the '80 performances on the Tusk tour. Vocally it's a little rougher, but somehow it works.

Also - I don't recall how well the '77 Forum show sold, but this release is #47 on Amazon for both the digital and vinyl categories.
