Wow! A picture really is worth a thousand words. Especially this picture. Seeing it made me wish I hadn’t asked. So many things wrong here.
I’m guessing 1980? Thanks everyone for the explanation. |

It was Halloween over 40 years ago well before the age of political correctness when wearing a vile or politically incorrect costume was the norm.
Mick wrote in his book how creeped out he and the band were when they discovered they traveled in a former Nazi rail car. Are we now going to say Christine was racist because of her Halloween costume over 40 years ago? Fast forward to today and they banned sombreros and big mustaches because they were deemed "racist." A college sorority was punished because they celebrated Cinco De Mayo in sombreros and mustaches. That is how far we have gone. For bloody sake Prince Harry also wore a Nazi uniform to a Halloween party. The thousands of Brits that were killed by the Nazis to think a Brit royal would do such a thing. Part of Halloween is to irk people, be funny, or be scary. I am not condoning any of it but this is what Halloween was over 40 years ago. Growing up there were many who dressed as Hitler for Halloween. Everyone needs to chill.

I'll search when I get home, and find the pic of Christine. I used to save nearly every pic posted here. I think I've got it.

Really? I figured 1980 because of how clean shaven Lindsey was. I thought he adopted that look during the recording of Tusk, but I guess they could have started recording it in 1978.

she was indeed. Yeesh..that's quite a picture lol. John did not grow up in a politically correct era, it seems in those days prejudice against jewish people was rampant. i found an old article years ago where he described Peter as a 'cocky Jewboy'. in the guy's account where peter was teasing john about screwing the arse off christine perfect, an irritated john went up to the mike and said, 'You f*%ing jew.'
even myself growing up, i can remember somebody in my family talking about buying a new car and trying to get a lower price, and they used the phrase, 'i tried to jew him down.' i suppose those sorts of comments were just commonplace then, unfortunately. christine's costume is another doozy haha. but again, i guess that stuff was sort of 'accepted'. --Lis |
