So... anyone downloading the Tango Sessions bootleg? It's available on http://www.charmedhour.net and it's great.
But it has raised a question. I've always related the song "Ricky" to Christine. That was before I actually heard the track (downloaded it), and I notice that I hear more of Lindsey's vocals through it, with some help by Christine. In the demos I hear both of them, or Lindsey doing his Christine impersionation which is even more confusing. It's not really a great tune, but I'd like to clarify the mistery. Who's the "official" writer/composer and lead vocalist of "Ricky"? Thanks for your help. ![]() Song of the moment - This Nearly Was Mine

I'm pretty sure it's a Christine tune but I'll have to check. It's the B side to Little Lies, for anyone who doesn't know. It's quite possible it was a Lindsey/Chris collaboration a la You & I and Mystified though.
I love this song. I think it should have been on Tango In The Night.

I've just checked the single and it is credited as being written by Lindsey and Chris!

Ah good work Sharon.
The music definitely seems a bit of a right turn for Christine so maybe it was one of those situations where Lindsey had the music idea and Christine brought the lyric idea and they both worked on it togther from there. I'm also a big Ricky fan. I find it to be funky, sexy and ethereal like NMB. ![]()

I love "Ricky" and I also think it should have been on the record, not just a B side on a single. The song is about Richard Dashut, I believe.

I think the drums on the song are cool! I love how they kind of whisper the lyrics.

I read somewhere that it was just Lindsey & Christine fooling around in the studio, just jamming and the song was born. If I remember correctly, Christine said at the time that it was a "complete fabrication".

Just listened to funny...naughty Ricky again!Oh Ricky!Tell me! Tell me! Ricckkyyy come out to play! Oh, Ricckkkyyyy! Tell me! Tell Me!![]() ![]() Lindsey and Christine are so sexy, must have a drum loop playing because the drum drives the rhythm and the altruisticly hidden meaning! ![]() ![]() Their voices are very smoothe, sensual together so this tune is what we call...Easy Listening!!! The Tango Tunes are mostly of this caliber!Sky ![]()

You know, it's funny. Since the beginning, I believed Ricky was Richard Dashut.
