Does anyone know if this set was ever released digitally or on any streaming platforms? It still doesnÂ’t seem to be on Spotify and I was hoping it would eventually show up there.

And/or, anyone know how likely it is for these Rhino sets to become available streaming?

I’d love to hear the stuff but I’m really out of the habit of listening to physical albums in any format!

I've looked everywhere and it's nowhere to be found digitally. The set is a must have though- pristine remasters and buried treasures- my favs Good Things Come to Those Who Wait and the smoking hot live version of Homeward Bound. Future Games in particular must be listened to front to back and then on repeat a few more times.

Just buy it and upload it to whatever. It’s dirt cheap, even compared to buying it all back in the day.

Ordered the discs. I have a real soft spot for the 1971-74 albums in particular; Christine was my gateway to mega-fandom and these albums IMO contain her best work. These days, I love Danny’s work just as much. “Sands of Time” ranks among my very favorite of the band’s tracks.

Excited to hear!

Default Not my gateway, but…

Boy do I love these songs just as much as any.

I often wish I could say I got into the Mac in this era. These songs just always seem to fit my mood.

I have to confess I only listened to the box set after Christine's passing, but I am so glad I have finally done so. Such better sound quality, and some of the bonus tracks are must-haves (Purple Dancer, for example).

Just one question. I assume that the live disk (Live From the Record Plant) is the 4-piece version of the Welch band -- Mick, John, Christine, and Bob (no extra musicians). Am I correct about that?

I do wish the box had more extensive liner notes, but that's a minor quibble.

There was a second keyboardist named Bobby Hunt, who had been in Head West with Bob.

The main one on tour was Doug Graves.

Thanks for that. I had a bootleg LP back in the day that had both Hunt and Graves on it, if I remember correctly, and my memory of it is that their keyboard playing was sometimes more aggressive than I thought was necessary. Is there an easy way to tell when Bobby Hunt is playing and when Christine is playing?

I think both of them(the guys) were mostly playing organ.

Hey, folks - has anybody listened to this box closely with headphones? I must say that I'm astonished that obviously nobody seems to have noticed this (should I have overlooked according posts please let me know):

The much-anticipated debut of the original studio version of "Purple Dancer" on an official CD plus its A-side companion is marred here by a sonic let-down - "Dragonfly" reveals a clearly audible hum (mostly in the right channel) from its fade-out up into the start of "Purple Dancer". At the latter's end one can hear the hum eventually fading out. To me this suggests that both these tracks were not taken from a master tape (let alone original multi-tracks), but from a somewhat inferior source. Nevertheless Justin Smith (being responsible for the remastering of the box set) could've easily covered that - at least during the fade-out of "Dragonfly". For my money this was down to some sloppiness on his part - it certainly slipped through some sort of final check (provided there was one). After all it can't be a fault on my copy only. But we probably won't get "Purple Dancer" any better anymore, I'm afraid . . .

Here's the link to a short mp3 clip of the ending of "Dragonfly":
