i consider myself as an atheist, but i think i had a spiritual religious experience tonight.
although they did not play Goodbye Baby and christine DID NOT show up like the rumour said, they were absolutly amazing! stevie was wailing like a wounded animal, i managed to play lindsey's guitar and even mick's solo wasn't that irritating.all the ledgies i met proved me again that FM fans are just the greatest and friendliest people ever (especially Pip, Louise and Livia whom i'll be eternally greatful to,) sorry i couldn't hang up with you guys, i had to catch the last tube back to my friends' place..... ![]() i wish i could have told everything that happened today, but since i'm still somewhat shocked and there are some things i rather not share at the moment, i'm gonna have to wait awhile to post a real review. i'm in a state of total happiness as it is, and i still have another one to go tomorrow NOTE: nobody at the venue was even asking about cameras.

Hey, I was there as well... Felt sorry for the people who were trying to leave who didn't want to use the tube. I wasn't happy about them making us walk the long way to get to the platform.
On a much more positive note, that was my first ever Mac gig, and I loved it. I got the tickets for my Dad, for his Birthday, and said to him to be prepared to stand, and he replied that we wouldn't have to stand for long. One hour later... Still standing... Although he - and his back - had to give up after Come (which f'n rocked btw). I would have loved to have been a bit closer (although my seats were relatively good), but I was just so bloody jealous of you guys at the front getting to play Lindseys guitar during Go Your Own Way. I never fully appreciated Stevies presence until tonight (although always loved her voice), and Lindsey was just fantastic to watch. When he wasn't letting people play his guitar during GYOW he was jumping up and down for most of it. After 2 hours of playing at that pace, I really don't know how he does it - I was knackered just standing there. It was great, and am thinking about trying to get tix for the Dec 10th show. I want front row though. I've got to play that guitar. Anyone unable to make it who has a couple? Can't seem to find any on the net at the mome. ![]() Last edited by Gazza; 11-29-2003 at 08:58 PM.. |

Tommer and Gazza: thanks for checking in!!! I'm so glad you all had such an amazing time... seeing FM for the first time was a very emotional experience for me, too, Tommer, definitely not unusual!!
No Goodbye Baby? I hope Stevie is all right, she did seem quite emotional during that song at a couple of the Germany shows, from what I've read. I can't wait to hear more once everyone rests up and gets to a computer!!! ![]() |

Hi everyone,
Well, what a night- My girlfriend and i loved the show, it was fantastic. Stevie Nicks, what can i say what a performance, I was dissapointed in two things, the dropping of Goodbye Baby, and that Christine McVie did not show up on stage. On a final note i must thank Pip and all the other Ledgies who turned up at Bar Cuba before the concert, i had a great time meeting everyone and putting faces to the screen names. I hope that everyone who has travelled from abroad will have a safe journey home. Hope to see you all at another Mac concert in the future Julian |

hey, I can add a bit more to this thread too, having just come back from London!
Great to meet up with a few fellow Ledgies at bar Cuba, the concert was my first, and last, so have a good time tonight all those lucky enough to attend (esp those in 1st row!) I am not, a Stevie fan, but I have to say, she came out as a woman with attitude and was excellent! Her voice was really strong, she had some great costume changes and did a number of dramatic twirls, not to mention some funny speeches, and looks...hoisting up her corset, at one point...haha...LB was his madman self, playing fantastically, as always, extending solos on ISA and others ( hence no Goodbye baby, they just ran out of time)charging about all over the stage, I thought the Stevie/ Linds chemistry was practically non existant, and somewhat staged, in most cases.(yep, it was tonight)... but Say goodbye wasn't , it seemed SO hard for them to do, the crowd were dead silent, hanging on every word, talk about emotional! What else? Well, as was mentioned, no camera checks at all, so plenty got in, and we got to stand up all night (we were on the floor 20 rows back!)Wow! Oh, yes, and Micks solo thingy was really good, that man has great energy and seemed to be loving it.John played his usual excellent "in the background" self, the lighting was fab and the sound , well amazing! Altogether, a great , great time, I'm sure, there'll be better posts to come, but for now, I'm one happy Ledgie ![]()

Hi everybody!
Looks like I will finally be able to post after all. I've tried before, but I think there is something wrong with the cookies on my mac. So this is my first post on the Ledge... Anyway, I had a great time last Saturday and I met some wonderful people who I hope to see again in the future. I posted a totaly senile review on the Burnish board, and pics soon, hopefully. The minidisc recorded only noise, so sorry guys, no tape. ![]() So I just wanted to say hi to the great people I met! Thea |

Well I have much to tell and a review will follow. Saturday night was fab but there were some idiots in the front row in front of Stevie's mic creating when people stood so I stood slightly to the right. I didn't have to sit down and Stevie spotted me pretty much right away and smiled and waved.
I'm knackered after my weekend and will be back later but yes... I was Lindsey's 'Come' girl again... he had that look when he saw me in the audience. (Me and my 2 friends were his collective 'Come' girls on Sunday too!!!) And at the end I had the gift for Stevie that she didn't take in Birmingham but I tied a helium filled balloon to it so she couldn't miss it. Luckily I gave it to her after Don't Stop even though I didn't know at that time that Goodbye Baby was dropped. She walked over smiling so big and took my gift and then took my other hand and then she was actually talking to me! I had to lip read mostly but she said 'I got your letter, thankyou for your letter' and she was making writing movements with her hand!! Wow! More later Pip Oh yes... James Brown and Bryan Ferry will be mentioned in my review also! LOL! Oh and BTW... Goodbye Baby was dropped for 2 reasons, Firstly EC has a strict curfew and they started late. Started much Earlier on Sunday. And also Stevie's Dad was unwell And Christine was never officially supposed to be there on Saturday. I was told she would be there on the 10th at the final show. Peter Green was in the audience on Sunday |

Couple of things I remembered about the show... Stevie referred to Lindsey as "my man" when introducing Beutiful Child, and dopey Mick forgot to introduce one of the backing singers. The nice looking blonde girl.

Hi there again.
![]() First of all, she said: 'My band' and not 'my man'. Sorry, but that's really what she said... And Pip... Bryan Ferry too?! My mum would be so jealous if she knew... ![]() Thea |

Are you sure? I'm as positive as you are, only on the other option! ![]() I even think she sort of looked at Mick more than Lindsey... But I'm as much a sucker for the romantic stuff as most people, so I would have loved it if it were true.. Maybe I should give that minidisc one more listen. ![]() Thea |

... and not. I remember it very clearly because she said it so cute:
"My MEN here" pointing in one move of her left hand to lindsey and mick. So I think she meant john, too. does that clear up some confusion? gerald

NO! ...that just makes it even more confusing!Haha, see thats what makes us the Ledgies we are...we each see everything different I give up, so I'm sticking with"my version", but I do agree, she looked rather sly and "cute" when she said it, and she did say it quite deliberately, whatever it was! ps. I'm not a romantic btw, just kinda stuck in the middle ![]()

It was definitely "my man"... It makes sense as well because we know Lindsey suggested her doing Beautiful Child.
