1. Big love (that song made me aware of Fleetwood Mac- I still love this version- the song is just cool, Lindsey looks cool on the video, the voice is cool, the production is cool, the drums are cool)
2. Little lies (Christine at her best- super production by LB)
3. Caroline (I remember this song being the absolute favourite of a friend of mine, who wasn't even a FM fan but a casual listener. When I say absolute favourite- it`s meant as his general favourite song at that time and among any other song- not only among FM songs)
4. Isn't it midnight (back in 88 I left it out of my tape, now it's in the UEFA Cup region )
5.Seven wonders (Stevie should use someone elses compositions more often)
6.TITN
7.WTTRS (like the LB singing parts on it- he was in his prime concerning the voice at this time. The song has a nice melody also)
8.Everywhere (nice little pop tune. I always think of christmas when I hear the instrumental part in the beginning, as I listened to the album around christmas 87 alot)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. You and I part 2 (it's a nice but shallow pop song. Sounds somehow cheap due to the synth sound. Seems it was done in half a day, which it surely wasn't- it just sounds like that) It`s a filler.
By the way- Part one is a song fragment- I don`t understand how many people refer to it as a good song. It has no chorus and is a work in progress.
10. Family man. Get rid of this cheap synth sound Lindsey! Leave it and do something different on the chorus- it could be really good. Work in progress... The relative of this song is "Soul drifter" with the same synth sound beginning, but then developing into a much better song on OOTC)
11. WISYA - I like the LB singing part at the end but it`s still a filler
12. Mystified (Christine and LB at their worst. A schmaltzy (does this word exist in english? ;-) song- it`s nearly as hard to bear as "Only over you" from Mirage")

Finally: the album is one of my favourites but I agree with some of the posters, saying that there's a gap of quality in between. I drew this line where that division is imo.

1) Seven Wonders - cool 80s sound, love the confidence of the vocal
2) WTTRS - great everything
3) WISYA - like the experimental vocal and stark nature - risky
4) Tango in the Night - add this to the set list
5) Little Lies - good album song, but the live version sucks - I like the tightness of the harmonies and the way Stevie's and Lindsey's voices break away for the mini-solos in the background
6) Big Love - would rate higher with more lyrics - sounds lazier than the Whassamattababays to me
7) You and I Part II - interesting sound, though I always picture a Martin Short character like Jackie Robins Jr. (game show host) or Ed Grimley doing that weird hip dance to it
8) Isn't it Midnight - cool sound
9) Mystified - cool sound
10) Caroline - okay
11) Everywhere - other than the vocals, I hate the sound
12) Family Man - earpuke

Caroline.... (something about the music)
Seven Wonders.... (that beginning)
Tango In The Night.....(then I remember....)
Welcome To The Room Sara....(again the music is superb)
Big Love....(great imagery..."keep ya in that house on the hill")
Little Lies....(great pop song)
Family Man....(great guitar work)
You And I Part II....(should have been a single)
Isn't It Midnight....(more great guitar work)
Mystified....(vintage Christine)
Everywhere....(Prefer live versions but still a great tune)
When I See You Again...(raw Stevie very powerful to me anyway)

This album does not sound as dated as some of the other material from bands (performers) of that era (Spandau Ballet, Lisa Lisa, Nu Shooz, Madonna etc..etc)

as a whole album, i think it's easily the weakest Fleetwood Mac album of all the Lindsey albums. and for Stevie, the Tango songs are easily her weakest.
as for Chris, you could argue that Tango was one of her strongest. personally - Tusk was their masterpiece - as a whole album, and individually.

I used to have the cassette of this album, but I lost it...consequently, there are a couple of songs that I don't remember well enough to rate.

Nonetheless, here's my list:

1. Seven Wonders (I've often thought that TITN should've been just a Lindsey/Christine album...but, then I question whether I could've done without this song...so, it's a toss-up).

2. Tango in the Night (it's a hard choice to make because I think his songs on this album are near-perfection, but this is my favorite LB song on the album)

3. Everywhere (I *love* this song...my favorite of CM's songs on this album...maybe my favorite of hers ever...the Dance version is cool, too)

4. Little Lies (this one is great, too...love the harmonies)

5. Big Love (I think I like the Dance version of this just a tad better, but this one still rocks)

6. Family Man (okay, I know everyone hates this song...but I think it's great...I love all of LB's songs on this album)

7. Caroline (another one that people seem to be annoyed with, but I like it a lot)

8. Isn't it Midnight (this song rocks...they should've done it on the Dance tour)

9. Welcome to the Room...Sara (I think this is an okay song...kind of catchy...not my favorite, but I've heard worse)

10. When I See You Again (people hate this one, too...I don't think it's bad, but the rest of TITN is so great that Stevie needed to do a lot better)

I don't really remember "Mystified" and "You and I (Part II)" so I can't rate them. I should go pick up TITN on CD sometime soon

Little Lies
Seven Wonders
Caroline
Tango in the Night
Everywhere

Mystified
Family Man

Eh, Tango's okay... The sound is a bit too dated in my opinion, plus I can't listen to the majority of Stevie's songs on it, she sounds so... blah. But it's still a good album, just no Tusk or Mirage

Tango In The Night: With the release of "Tango In The Night" in the spring of 1987, it marked a stellar return for the band that hadn't released anything since 1982's "Mirage". While Lindsey Buckingham did not tour with the band he did produce the record with long-time Mac collaborator Richard Dashut and they have done a good job for the most part. “Big Love” and “Everywhere” are the only real misfires (Better heard live on "The Dance") The tracks are all over the map with a great Mac song called "Seven Wonders" (My 2nd favourite of all time) and another good one called "Little Lies". Stevie succeeds with "Welcome To The Room... Sara" a song with good lyrics and great vocals. Christine shines best on Little Lies a catchy pop tune that really well for them as well as Isn't It Midnight which features some impressive guitar work. Lindsey even gets his trademark Guitar solos with the albums title track. Unfortunately it was to be his last album with Fleetwood Mac for 10 years. Best Song On The Album: Seven Wonders

Well, actually I think TITN is their best album... much better than the tepid performances on Rumours (where the songs are great live, but not good on record)...

Here's my order of preference:

Like most
1) Welcome To The Room... Sara
2) Seven Wonders
3) Everywhere
4) When I See You Again
5) Mystified
6) Big Love
7) Little Lies
8) Tango In The Night
9) Family Man
10) You And I Part 2
11) Isn't It Midnight
12) Caroline
Like least

IMO none of the songs are weak, but Stevie's are, to me, the best on the record.
