Here's a link to Mike's Instagram because we still can't embed anything on this forum

where he's doing a bathroom jam with Neil Finn and Eddie Vedder. Also note he has one of those bluetooth turntables in his dressing room.

I couldn't make out what the record was though. https://www.instagram.com/p/BqTpWttn...ns_share_sheet

Watching Neil Finn sing SHN (and Stevie energetically singing along as if it doesn’t matter who the hell sings the song) makes me want to hurl.

Again since I can't embed anything in this forum

here is a pic of Mick, John and Neil out to dinner prior to the Vancouver show:

Thanks for posting that pic, gldstwmn- I don't know why, I mean I'm only going by pictures and tweets and such, but for some reason Neil just comes across to me like such a nice guy. John is looking his age but when I saw FM a few weeks back, he did a great job of playing.

Right?! What the heck? Things like that are just exasperating...and SUPER lame.

Well Christine is standing at a mic quite close to Stevie and they are both singing with Neil. Is that just as lame for both of you or does it only qualify for Stevie?

Oh, for me it's definitely only Stevie because of the meaning of that song and its history.

You're welcome. I hope people take a good long look at that photo and realize that the time to do things (like see your favorite band) is now. Forget about the whole Chris is struggling or who did what to whom. The time to do that thing you've been putting off? It's NOW.

Then don't watch it.

I am so glad I went to the show in 2014 when I finally did get to see my favorite band, with the incarnation that I grew up with and love, intact once more. It was only about 18 months since the 2013 show and I questioned going at all. I am happy that I did, for obvious reasons now.

Very nice pic. John looks like a cancer survivor. Is he in complete remission?

I was a fool to skip all those shows. But I thought they were all deteriorating musically. I hadn't come to appreciate their current "sound" (which is kind of like trying to jog in the swimming pool—they all felt so lethargic).

You know what they say. A jog in the swimming pool is better than floating t!ts up.
