It seems indeed the resident icon in the band has made her wishes known, and her high priest has banged the gong and complied.

Mike Campbell I understand--this is her doing. But Neil Finn? What did he do to deserve this fate?

I think he won't last long though. When the icon finds out he can write much better songs than she does she will kick him out too.

- Obviously he's been fired, he hasn't left the band.
- The statement is beyond ridiculous. Something new? Creative evolution? To honor it, we'll play... what? a couple of pre-B/N songs?. Ridiculous, and sounds sad.

I'm looking forward to the new Lindsey album, and that's it.
And, shouldn't we move further discussions to the post-Rumours board?

Can the few people finally say and admit to themselves the reason Stevie did not want to record with Fleetwood Mac HAS NOTHING to do with music sales.

Exactly! All of a sudden they're creative again? So they weren't creative because of Lindsey? This is disgusting.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. We'll have to decamp to the post-Rumours board to carry on the discussion.

The only possible positive that I can remotely think of is some kind of Finn/Christine new musical collaboration. That could actually be interesting. I don't know much about Mike Campbell. I didn't care for Freedom
much from BTM, which he co-wrote with Stevie.

The wording of

Lindsey Buckingham will not be performing with the band on this tour. The band wishes Lindsey all the best

leaves open, at least in theory, a reconciliation for another project. But these guys and gals are getting on. Or rather, not getting on.

This is a terrible way for it to end. Shame on whoever is responsible for this.
