OSOTM has some good stuff that gives insight into where she was at during that time-- Doing the Best I Can especially, and even Ghosts, which is kind of a mess that needed a good editor to help clean it up, but I love love the bridge where she sings "to fill the empty spaces she's feeling, she depends on her music like a husband, and she knows it's no good, to fall in love again". I found those songs powerfully honest. And Rooms on Fire did well.

I like OSOTM as well... Fire Burning and Ghosts in addition to the previously mentioned Rooms on Fire, etc. I like that no matter what mood I'm in I can put on a Stevie album and I'll feel like she gets me. Or I can sing along or zone out.

Bella Donna is better than sliced bread(I LOVE it).

Wild Heart is like finding a roll of Charmin in the woods, when you really have to go(I really, really like it a lot).

RAL is like finding out that you have a STD. But yet a treatable one.

OSOTM is like....well....waking up in bed, naked with your Mom. And Dad. And you can't wash it off, or forget it.

TOSOTM still had some great songs. "Rooms on fire," "Long way to go," "Alice," "Ooh my love," "Doing the best that I can,"... It was "Street Angel" that let me down. Hard. But she rebounded greatly on "Trouble in Shangri la." I adore that. Album.[/QUOTE]

OMG you have me laughing so hard. I can't!!

You know that was me, right?

Has something happened to the quote function? Because lately I've noticed LOTS of them being wrong, and not from noobs, myself included.
