Honestly I'm satisfied with her embarking on another solo tour. I will be satisfied, and very happy the minute she walks on stage. Everything else is gravy. For once, I have zero expectations.

I don't understand this mentality, from either fans or the artist.

She *doesn't* have to play to the people who came to hear Landslide. All she *has* to do is show up and play, and she can play whatever she wants. Her tickets have sold well. The seats will be filled. She can and should play whatever she wants. She's earned it. And the fair-weather fans can suck it up and hear a new song or two.

What this tour really needs is a new musical director. Waddy holds Stevie back from trying new things. This is evident in comments she has made about this tour.

i agree .

i have a friend who had a fit after we went to see Madonna the drowned world tour and has to this day not let up that she " ignored the hits and sang a lot of songs he did not know ( we have not been to a show since ) .. He asked me to get him a ticket to Stevie I showed him the interview and he not going ( thankfully ) because she might sing unfamiliar songs

This, I don't care about one bit. She can wear only 1 black dress the whole night and I wouldn't be bothered one bit.

Here are mine:

- Bella Donna AND Wild Heart
- At least 4 songs from 24 KG
- At least one attempt to go outside her vocal comfort zone, whether that's reaching a high note or doing some softer delivery or just... not straight granny shout.

That's it to keep me from disappointment. Everything else would qualify as wish list!

That is a major factor in why I love going to see Madonna. I love her "been there, done that" attitude when it comes to her set-lists. Sure, she has her staples like Vogue and Like A Prayer, but they're almost always re-invented. She wants to give the crowd something they haven't seen or heard before, and that's great.

And of all tours to complain about - Drowned World was her first chance to perform material from Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light and Music. Of course she wasn't going to try to relive her 80s glory days when she had three un-toured albums to draw from.

Of course, I do not expect Stevie to follow suit, and just a few different songs would make me very happy. But to those folks that complain about an artist not performing the hits, I say this: Concerts are for fans. To us fans, those unfamiliar songs *are* hits.

She could just sing whatever she wanted, it's true. But she's not immune to audience reaction and if there was a song where people got restless and started going to the restroom that would impact her and make the show not as much fun for her. To her credit, she has stuck with some songs even when they got a lackluster response. I have predicted that they would get dropped early in a tour, but she held onto them. But she's not going to load her set with too many of those. Not all artists have this attitude and get antsy when the audience is not as responsive, but she does.

I suppose. She *has* often told the tale of how sensitive she and FM were to audience reaction.

It just surprises me because, as someone who has over the years talked on many occasions about the songs she'd like to do live, or that she *will do someday* I would expect her to have already reached the point where she feels she can do the show her way. If she never lets go of that insecurity over audience restlessness during an obscure song, she'll never be able to live out all those songs on stage that she has, perhaps, wanted to.

Let me add that I would be "over the moon" if she performed "Watch Chain"!!! I know it will never happen since it was simply a B-Side...but it seems like it would be easy for her to sing, seeing as how there are no really high parts for her to hit. Plus, it's just a damn fun and rocking song to sing along to.

I think it would translate really well in a live setting!

My expectations are on the low side as I have to be realistic. If she performed "Bella Donna", "Wild Heart" and "Trouble In Shangri-La", I would be blown away. However, my greatest wish is that she ditches "Soldier's Angel" - forever. If she is foolish enough to do it on the first show, let's hope she gets such a negative response that she vows never to attempt it again. Oh and also, it would be immensely gratifying if she were able to sing in key, even for just a few minutes. Of course, I don't really expect any of my wishes to come true...

Even if she drops it in the first show I guarantee she'll do it in Boston if Vincent is there

Good because that's exactly what she's gonna wear the entire night, 1 black dress. Or she might change into a different black dress that looks exactly like the first black dress. This is what I don't get. If you're gonna bother to change clothes, make it worth it to the audience. Change into something that people can determine is indeed a new, different outfit. There is absolutely no point in changing into an outfit that is so similar to the first that nobody can tell you've changed or doesn't care because it provides no visual diversity, excitement or flair.
