Anyone who is interested in any successful band or musician from the past five decades will enjoy journalist Sean Egan’s “Fleetwood Mac on Fleetwood Mac: Interviews and Encounters,” a lively page-turner through the band’s musical changes from its original blues-rock roots to a more pop-oriented sound. Egan takes you into the heart of the Fleetwood Mac struggles, including their personal relationship dramas, and presents a collection of interviews written between 1967 and 2014. Included are details about the tragedy of founding member Peter Green’s mental deterioration and the story behind their struggles to find the right voice. The auspicious addition of singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham in early 1975 provided the needed breakthrough for the Mac, and its 1977 album “Rumours” put them on multiple charts that year. The Mac musicians reunited in 2014 and are currently on tour in Europe and England so their story together is not yet finished.

I have this book. It has one interview from 1967, one from 1968 and the rest are from 1975-2014.

The interviews are the ones we've all seen (and quoted from) before, but it is nice to have them all bound together with an index at the end, that helps you find comments about particular songs or albums or events.

I read Eric Clapton's book and it was pretty damn good!

I bought it when it came out and it's a worthwhile and entertaining read.
