It had tons of demos and outtakes from over the years and it's gone. I was planning to look up Mirage demos that *weren't* included on the remaster.

Basically it's the same old story, Dropbox deleted everything for "copyright infringment" and Mike Bise is thinking about how to figure everything out.

The way I look at it, if you're listening to bootlegs.. it means you've bought everything else. probably twice..

The way I look at it, bootlegs aren't part of the FM franchising either, so downloading them you're not taking anything away from them.

I know! it's so aggravating considering the time and work and money that so many have contributed to getting this material and making it available - free of charge - to other fans.

Noone is reporting anyone probably, it's just that sharing sites when they see massive amounts of downloads just decide to shut down profiles as a precautionary move.
Sometimes in my small way even I had problems with mediafire because it temporarily signaled a song as "copyrighted" when I was sharing many uploaded files in sequence.

Probably. But it's odd that every time Mike's sites get shut down (3 now that I remember), they tell him the complaint originated "from a copyright holder" in Germany.

Well, everytime he uploaded and shared more than 10'000 of files (by his own ammission) and every each of them was being downloaded, I don't know, maybe hundreds, but maybe thousands of times.
I don't say that it's right, but these large hosting sites probably wants to avoid every little thing that could even remotely become a legal menace.
