Would you stop saying that? It's too logical.

And I'm so tired of that fake soap opera. Does anybody really care about it anymore? The McVie/Buckingham musical dynamic is so much more interesting.

They were just about to make B/N II until that witch Christine came along and ruined everything!

They had a blast making SYW. It was like the old days. Lyrics flying all over the place.

I'm glad it took a LEFT turn!

Mick hints that there will be a huge tour with Stevie but maybe no album with Stevie.
I am sure Stevie and Lindsey are fighting again. However, I cant see the band doing an album without Stevie and then she joining them on a 2 year world tour to promote it. THAT WONT HAPPEN. I see Lindsey definitely pushing for the project. This is Stevie's SAY YOU WILL moment. Maybe if Christine calls her up and sings SAY YOU WILL to her it might get Stevie to join in the album.
None of this is new with the band and they have ALWAYS come back together.
Mark my word....there WILL be a new album WITH Stevie. 100% gurantee
This is exactly what I think word for word. Amen. Well said. I second this.

They could easily release the album without Stevie. It's not like there isn't precedence. How many songs did Jeremy Spencer have on "Then Play On?"

Well, we're all dedicated to getting together about a year or so from now and going and doing another two years of touring all over the world, probably. And we also have a huge amount of recorded music. A huge amount. None of it's with Stevie. Or very little. Some of it is very, very old stuff that Lindsey maybe did with her years and years ago. We're not quite sure what will happen with it. But you know, doing this band is a huge investment. We're only off the road for less than a year, and when you add in the time it takes to put a tour together, do rehearsals, get it up and running, the whole thing, it's three years that you don't do anything else. And Stevie has her own life and career and I think … you know, she just doesn't want to spend the time right now. And we're quietly saddened about that but also I sort of understand.
ok this is crap. this whole "3 year thing" came from a comment Stevie made during the last pre-Chris cash-grab tour and suddenly it has become like a law. Bull.
and really, you just frikkin toured. You haven't changed the ossified set list in forever, (one or two songs does NOT count) how much flippin' rehearsal time does it really take? If you've got mostly the same crew and the same damn band, why on earth do you need months of rehearsals?? Geezus no wonder they look bored with the material by the time they get on the road. Ridiculous. I hate to say this, but it is my fear-- one of them will be dead before they get their sh$t together.

It doesn't take months. Hell, the band I work for had to phone a former guitarist who lives in the NYC area in the middle of the night to fill in for a show seventeen hours later in Cincinnati, and it happened without a hitch (BTW, said guitarist has since rejoined the band).

And why do they need an 18 month tour in the first place. Didn't they make enough money to last their kids, grandkids and lovers this last tour. Do an album and tour for 6 months and then go home.

Ultimate Classic Rock

Fleetwood Mac’s New Album Is Apparently Being Held Up by Stevie Nicks
By Nick DeRiso August 3, 2016 12:47 PM

It all comes down to Stevie Nicks. She’s the one person keeping Fleetwood Mac from completing their first album since 2003’s Say You Will, the band’s co-founder, drummer Mick Fleetwood, says.
He told Rolling Stone Fleetwood Mac have completed “a huge amount of recorded music,” but “none of it’s with Stevie. Or very little. Some of it is very, very old stuff that Lindsey [Buckingham] maybe did with her years and years ago. We’re not quite sure what will happen with it.”
Fleetwood similarly blamed Nicks for a long-delayed Fleetwood Mac tour that was supposed to start in 2012, crediting an “obsession” with her solo career. Apparently, not much has changed. “She just doesn’t want to spend the time right now,” Fleetwood said. “And we’re quietly saddened about that, but also I sort of understand.”
The ironic part is that Christine McVie‘s belated return to the band led to a huge influx of new material. “I do know that when Christine came back, she came back with a bag full of goods,” Fleetwood added. “She f—ing wrote up a storm. She and Lindsey could probably have a mighty strong duet album if they want. In truth, I hope it will come to more than that. … There really are dozens of songs. And they’re really good. And so you think, “S—, I don’t want it to be that, decades later, when we’re all pushing up daisies, someone hears this stuff and goes, ‘Well, that should have come out!'” So we’ll see.”
Whatever happens with Fleetwood Mac’s studio work, plans are moving forward for another tour, according to Fleetwood. “We’re all dedicated to getting together about a year or so from now and going and doing another two years of touring all over the world, probably,” he said.

I believe that they will do or attempt to do the 2 years tour..it is probably the last chance that they will have to make millions before one or more of them is unable to continue. The promised album has been shelved for more than 2 years now with no additional work completed and Mick now saying there may or may not be an album. .It does not take a genius to ascertain that the final cash grab slog will be it for this band.

I wouldn't mind if Stevie does a solo world tour and FM go on without her... I loved seeing FM but it would be far more enjoyable for me if they were split up, because I far prefer Stevie's solo music and concerts to her stuff with FM.

I would enjoy stevie's fleetwood mac songs more if she did something other than the same ones with them and in her solo sets

I'd be okay with it, too. I'd much rather hear new songs and old songs not played in a long time from Christine and Lindsey than hear "Dreams," "Rhiannon," "Landslide," and "Gold Dust Woman" for the umpteenth time.
