Daily Mail is another tabloid u know and it seems they are all getting their info from the National Enquirer. When Michael Jackson died they claimed he weighed only 8 stone. He was actually 136 pounds.
Btw the National Enquirer also tried to say that Bowie died from AIDS. The official report could take a few weeks. It could be true but I don't regard it as confirmed yet. The rumors started before he died though. A blind item appeared just days before his death about an African American celebrity - not Magic Johnson - very sick with AIDS. And then there are already the predictable theories that he was murdered by an organization like the Illuminati. Interestingly, one story says that Prince was a Fleetwood Mac and Santana fan before he was famous. So that is even before his collaboration with Ms Nicks. |

Segue here, BUT news is reporting that he had prescription drugs in his home and on his self at time of death. I'm gathering that IF it wasn't his epilepsy, it was an OD from the way they're making it sound. The Enquirer is now saying that AIDS killed Prince. I suggest we let this all just run its course and wait for the official autopsy report and lab findings. Last edited by Newzchspy; 04-28-2016 at 01:02 PM.. |

MINNEAPOLIS A Minnesota judge appointed a corporate trust company on Wednesday to temporarily oversee Prince's multimillion-dollar estate, saying the emergency appointment was necessary because the superstar musician doesn't appear to have a will and immediate decisions must be made about his business interests. Judge Kevin Eide granted a request from Prince's sister to appoint Bremer Trust as special administrator, giving the company authority to manage and supervise Prince's assets and identify his heirs. Eide said Prince had no appointed personal representative but had substantial assets and owned businesses that require immediate attention and ongoing management. The judge also noted that identities and addresses of Prince's heirs need to be determined. Prince's only full sibling, Tyka Nelson, requested the move Tuesday, telling the court she believed her brother didn't have a will. Prince also has five surviving half-siblings who could share in the estate. Eide wrote that Prince died "intestate," meaning he did not have a valid will, and said there was no pending application or petition for probate of a will in any court. However, someone could still come forward with a will or trust document, which happened after Michael Jackson died in June 2009. Jackson's longtime lawyer John Branca filed a will six days after his death, upending moves by Jackson's mother to become his estate's executor based on her assumption there wasn't a will. For now, Bremer Trust will act as special administrator for six months or until a personal representative is appointed, whichever is less. Later Wednesday, the estate already had its first claim against it, with a filing from a California man who claimed that Prince had transferred ownership of his music catalog to him in 1995. Prince, 57, died last week at Paisley Park, his famous home and recording studio complex in suburban Minneapolis. His cause of death hasn't been released. An autopsy was conducted Friday, but results aren't expected to be released for weeks. The value of his estate isn't known. Prince made hundreds of millions of dollars for record companies, concert venues and others, and the outpouring of grief and nostalgia after his death prompted fans to buy 2.3 million of his songs in just three days. Prince also owned a dozen properties in Minnesota, most of it undeveloped land and some houses for relatives, worth about $27 million, according to public records. He also sold more than 100 million albums, and concert industry magazine Pollstar reported that in the years Prince's tours topped the charts 10 years over four decades performing they raked in $225 million in ticket sales. But it's not clear how much money Prince had when he died, given that he had to pay record labels and staff and cover other expenses. On Wednesday, Eide said Bremer Trust was in the best position to handle Prince's estate. The judge noted that its affiliate, Bremer Bank, had worked with Prince and has knowledge of his personal and business finances. The judge said Nelson and one of Prince's half-brothers, Omarr Baker, were part of the telephone conference that prompted his decision Wednesday. The judge said no one objected to appointing a special administrator. Under Minnesota law, if a person dies without a will and with no surviving parents, children, or grandchildren the next people in line to share in the estate are the surviving siblings, including half-siblings. Prince wasn't married and had no known living children. News Article Just because his sister says there was no will doesn't mean there isn't one... Michael Jacksons mother tried the same thing and a short time later...SURPRISE a will turned up... From what I read in the Time article I posted If Prince had set up any trusts or corporations lack of a will might not be as big a deal as everyone thinks... The stipulations of any existing trusts are independent of any will (or lack of)... Let's say Prince set up "Paisley Park Corporation" It's possible that the corporation owns "Paisley Park" (Residence & Studios) The record label (New Power Generation) He also may have set it up that his record lable NPG owns all of his music (Publishing /Recordings) somewhere in the corporate paperwork it may specify what will happen if he dies. Prince seems to have been a meticulous planner...So I would imagine he just didn't plan for anything... |

Now there's rumor that IF he has an illegitimate child an IF this is true, then the child GETS IT ALL!! Here's the thing. Dying INTESTATE (without a will) makes it hardest on the loved ones who try to "recreate" what Prince intended. Given the fact that he had NO will means that the court is "left" to clean up the mess LEFT when there is no trust or will to "instruct" the court what to do. The real difficult part of this that COULD HAVE and SHOULD HAVE been negated is this: All he had to do is a holograhpic will (self-written) , properly witnessed and notarized and this would all go away. NOW, its going to cost perhaps $millions to clean up the mess. |

It appears that a thorough investigation is being conducted. Authorities have obtained a sealed search warrant of his home. They do not want the details reported by the media amid all the public interest, as they believe this could taint the investigation.
Even though suicide or foul play doesn't seem to be suspected, the investigation now seems to have turned into a 'criminal probe'. http://www.startribune.com/carver-co...ion/377456111/ It doesn't necessarily mean that charges will be filed, but does seem to allow for greater protection of the information found for the time being. For someone who was often described as something of a control freak, I'm a bit surprised that he could leave his affairs in some apparent disarray. But some reports are saying that in recent years Prince had become fearful of signing any legal documents because he felt he might be 'screwed over'. Official autopsy reports of most celebrities usually seem to find their way to the media, whether it is really our business or not. I was close to someone who passed away at age 32 from flu and prescribed opiate overdose. It can well cause complications. If he had an illness as has been suggested but not confirmed, well that didn't seem to affect Freddie Mercury's legacy. If a clear cause is not given people sometimes just keep speculating and making up their own theories. But it might take some time to know exactly what happened. I am skeptical about current reports in the meantime. I was not the biggest fan of Prince but he sure was popular in my time and wow what a guitar player. That is being mentioned in many tributes. Very quietly spoken guy, considering how outrageous he could be at times. He remained an enigma. Not very many of them are like that these days. Of course though they will try to expose him now. |

Some of his best work was said to still be unreleased.
I was in a random chat the other day, and someone said they had a friend who worked for Prince, and he hadn't been well for a few weeks. His personal chef has also spoken to the media http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrit...always-7875615 In February however he was here in Australia. That is a long flight that can give serious jetlag. However, there were no real signs in the local reports that anything was wrong with him. He was very thin but then he always had been. He performed at the Sydney Opera House, the tickets selling out very quickly. The shows weren't his usual fare - just him and a piano on the stage. He came out with a walking cane to start the show and just played all his hits on the piano. I am wondering if he was doing these performances as a type of 'experiment', just as Madonna appeared to be experimenting with her own show when she was here, perhaps planning for a less physically taxing show in the future. Australian audiences can be very picky, but the shows received generally good reviews, though some audiences complained that the shows they went to were cut short. At the time it was speculated that this was because he was upset about the death of his former girlfriend Vanity. http://fasterlouder.junkee.com/the-r...ne-tour/857569 I remember him saying years ago that he thought Michael Jackson should do a stripped down, simpler version of his stage shows focusing more on his singing and engaging with the audience. His former wife Mayte has said that he always wore extremely high heels, even off stage. That hurts for me to even think about. He was only five foot two or three. Of course that can cause hip problems. But there seems to be a lot of general confusion about what was really ailing him. |

Just because he had prescription meds in his house doesn't mean anything. Hell, there's prescription meds in my house... pain meds from a dental surgery, pain meds from a physical injury, prescription anti biotics from when I last was sick, etc etc. I love how the media makes it sound like no one but an addict has Rx meds in their house.
Need to just wait for the autopsy report.

A few more clips of Prince have appeared on youtube recently. It would be nice if his piano and microphone concert could be put on DVD - there seem to be very few pieces of it on youtube. (Most concerts you go to these days nearly everyone seems to have a camera but Prince seemed quite strict about not having them at his shows.)
Prince and his piano skills: Also found this and wow - this is so wicked. It's like 'Motherless Child' mixed with 'Take Me To The River'. You can hear so many shades of past performers and he had such a big, adaptable vocal range. Even though he was so small, he owned the stage definitively. Whatever he may or may not have been, he sure was a character. I don't know if we'll see as much of that with artists in the future. The Internet has homogenized so many things in our culture. (Glad I grew up when I did and there were still these very unique people!) |

This videos is interesting.
Interesting info about WB records.I'm alittle worried about Stevie and FM after hearing this. I forgot that Vanity was the same age.
