Default when will Stevie's 2016 solo shows get announced?

we all know she'll do at least a short tour, lol. How far in advance are her US shows usually announced?

I've bought tickets for Stevie solo shows at least 8 months in advance, so I'm sure they'll be announced fairly early. However, I really don't see the point of touring behind an album that was released more than a year ago and has since fizzled out without much fanfare. But, alas, Stevie has done stranger things, so let's see.

I'm Facebook friends with Jimmy Paxson, and about a week or so ago he made an off-the-cuff remark about being free until March. He's a talented musician and a busy guy so it could be anything, but I couldn't help but think, "What do you have to do in March?"

oooooooooooohhh, intriguing!
I'm coming to the US in May, so I really need her to be touring then, lol. I hope something is announced sooner rather than later, as I like to plan travelling well in advance.

I don't think it's too late to still promote the album as a body of work. I'm sure she's not expecting to send it racing back into the charts.

Fleetwood Mac and Stevie have both toured without any album to promote, with great fanfare and success. Is another solo tour going to be any different? 90% of her set will be the same old same old, with two or three songs from 24 Karat Gold. Yawn. Of course, I'd want the opposite.

The drastic changes in the music industry and the influence of social media begets a ME mentality "I paid good money --I want to hear the hits or else it will suck ", or "no one will show up if she doesn't play this or that song, and plays too many new songs we don't know!" These are not the typical edicts of genuine music aficionados.

Is it not possible to go to a show of an unknown/little known band, and still enjoy the performance even if you're not familiar with the songs?

If it happens to be a singer or band you admire, it shouldn't matter if they stray from their beaten path and present something new in lieu of familiar, well-worn material. It's been said that Stevie could sing the phone book (and people would listen). The stigma of legacy artists playing new songs is self-inflicted as much as it is from the pressure of commercial interests.

Commerce rules and trumps artistry. But I don't blame the artists. It is their business, and profit margins matter, so comprise is part of the deal. Fleetwood Mac is very fortunate that they can rest heavily on their laurels. Stevie still has time to shake it up a bit. I hope she ceases that opportunity.

Didn't she say they would repackage it with a few more songs and she would tour

Are we reacting to this as a fact? This is just an assumption as of now.

Is there a fear that she is going go on tour and glut the set list with 24 Karat Gold songs? It is so unprecedented. Typically, when she tours a new album, we're lucky if we get four or five songs from the album; then she ends up dropping at least one of them. The body of work that will be presented from the album will likely be slim.

If she does go on tour, who is say it's going to be branded as a 24 Karat Gold tour? She might call it something else, and feature a few songs from the album.

Its alittle to early to tell.We have to give her a break after touring with FM for over a year.
I hope something pops up for late spring and summer 2016.

I seem to recall an interview done, perhaps the one for Rolling Stone, where Stevie said she had been on the phone with Waddy making plans for a 2016 tour? Anyone else remember?

As far as new songs go, didn't she do 6 from IYD in 2011 after the success of the Wiltern "Showcase" show? Maybe she'll follow suit and do more than the standard 2 or 3 new songs from 24Karat Gold.

Part of me thinks she's wiped out from the FM tour but I also think she can't sit around for long...plus her solo career seems to bring her more enjoyment and fulfillment. FM appears to be more of an obligation than something she genuinely enjoys and gets excited about.

I hope she does mostly solo stuff, whether the majority is from 24k or not, on any solo tour. Dear god how many more times can she do Dreams, Gold Dust, Rhiannon etc after having done them for two years on this tour with FM alone, and the previous tour.....gag. Mix it up for gawd's sake. She's got what, 8 solo albums of new (non compilation) material to pick from......
The solo singles alone would be a whole set's worth of material (and we know she won't do a lot of those, for various reasons). But if the singles alone would make a full set, how amazing could her set be if she chose from all those album cuts?
Enough with the same old **** already.
