Default What are the odds of one more US tour?

What are the speculations about this being their final tour? There is talk that it is the final tour. There has also been talk that they didn't declare this their final tour so maybe it isn't? I have read John and Lindsey say that it might be, but I also read, surprisingly, that Stevie said this couldn't be their last because they didn't call it their last.

Maybe take a year off then do like 40 shows in the US for a farewell tour. They should probably do it before Christine is 75.

Default Well...

I doubt that this past set of dates was their last in the US. If there is a new album then there will be a tour. On the scale of On With the Show? Probably not. At least not as a single leg. I would love to see a tour of multi-night stands with different setlists each night...but that is highly unlikely. I guess I'm just jealous of the Australians that get to hear Sara and Think About Me. Come back!!!

Stevie's right. Until it's billed as the last go round to maximize profit...it ain't over.

I really hope it isn't. It wasn't advertised as the last tour so I hope not. I know John said it might be HIS last tour. I would like to see them one last time in Europe.

And considering both Stevie & Lindsey have a tendency to avoid Europe on their solo tours, the Mac better come back for one last gig.

I take those comments from the band as just ways to drum up media attention. After all, I believe the proof is in the tour name alone; "On With The Show"

Now, if it were called End Of The Show I'd be more inclined to believe it.

Well Barry (who is high up in the FM tree) really
seems to think we've got a big surprise in store.

I totally expect a 2017 tour! They couldn't let the 40th anniversary of Rumours go by (not to mention the 50th anniversary of the band's formation) without milking it somehow, which makes the timing perfect for a tour.
I've already been daydreaming about what the next setlist will be, though it won't be that different from the current one, even if a new album is factored in. I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I'm still hoping they'll perform Hold Me.

2017 would be a good time for a farewell tour and Rumours 40th anniversary tour. Im surprised they didn't acknowledge this tour being the 40th anniversary of the white album and Stevie and Lindsey joining the band. I'm not too concerned with a new album, just another tour. I hope all five stick around for a farewell tour. A small shake up in the set list would be nice too. I wouldn't hold my breath, but they're doing Think About Me, so maybe there's hope for Hold Me on the farewell tour.

I already attended Fleetwood Mac's farewell tour in 1990

I would definitely bet on one more tour to say goodbye and promote their new album. As someone else pointed out 2017 is perfect 40 years anniversary of Rumours. But no way a huge tour like on with the show. John is my only concern. I hope he continues to full cancer recovery. I don't think they would go on without John.

This is what I predict will happen going forward:

The band will take a break end of November-end of January
The band will regroup in February-April to record with all members present
Stevie will do a US solo tour May-July probably backing 24k gold
Band will regroup in September/October to add finishing touches to the album
Band will do photo sessions and maybe video November
Album will drop in February with massive 40th anniversary Rumours promotional appearances
US tour will run April-May
Europe will be July-August
Australia will be October-mid November
US 2nd leg will be January-February

ps-I also believe we will get a live album, dvd of the tour, and maybe a documentary of them in the studio and backstage.

I'm thinking similar- though I'd hope the album comes out a lot sooner than Feb 2017. They've got a lot in the can. I'm not sure they'd need to add finishing touches in Sept/Oct. Feb-April should hopefully be enough time to have it sorted.

Default But Gavin...

That sounds like a band that has it together and is planning further than the end of the current tour. All that going on without the requisite three years of bickering in interviews with each other before a new tour comes together? I'm hopeful we'll get those things, but all of it seems unlikely given the history of the band. No doubt there will be a big Rumours set though...with even more takes of songs that only the most die hard will listen to more than once.

Gavin,

You should contact the band offering your managerial services.....
Your suggestions/future ideas are perfect for them....
They just need someone with the thoughts and clear mind to steer all of them down the same path....

I really think they will be too old at that point for such an ambitious tour.
